WHO: Batman & Daisy Johnson
WHERE: De Chima, some rooftop probably
WHEN: Sometime in June
WHAT: Daisy wants info on Crane, Batman wants info on the Constellation, nobody gets anything they want
WARNINGS: Will edit as needed

[Over the past year, Batman has been able to assess information on organizations ranging from the US government, to Russia, DARPA and rogue organizations like OTO and RISE. The only organization thus far that he has nothing on is the group known as the Constellation, having little time with his other endeavors and the little to no information that he's been able to gather since their announcement last month. He did recognize one name from the list, but she was stubborn and he felt that might take too much time. Little did he know he was going to bump into that same someone this evening during his patrol.]

[Daisy is on her way out of work after a long shift and is honestly just ready to get home and sleep for the next twelve hours.

Except. There's an abrupt change in that plan when she happens to catch something out of place and when she looks up on a nearby roof she spots someone she hasn't seen in months. Not since that night where they both confronted Crane. She had been trying to find him again, but with nothing turning up until now? She wasn't about to waste an opportunity.

Pocketing her car keys, Daisy uses her power to 'jump' onto the roof he's on.]

Seriously? A roof top. At night. Does it get any more cliche than this?

[Oh, that's another reason he hasn't talked to her yet-- everything that comes out of her mouth manages to annoy him. He doesn't pay her much attention when she approaches, only acknowledges her with a slight turn of his head as he looks down on the streets below.]

Plane is in the shop. [He replies, dryly.] Have to make due until then.

[Lips pressing together, Daisy all but rolled her eyes at his sarcasm. She kept her distance, but she did move a little closer to him as he looked down at the street.]

So what? You just people watch from roof tops?

Until I see something that needs more than watching.

You have information on Crane and I need it.

Hn. And what information would that be exactly?

[Pulls on that fishing lure juuuust a little.]

Anything that's incriminating. Which I know you have since you knew how to fight off his powers. So you've clearly done your research on him.

[You know, during that one time where he saved her life. No big deal or anything.]

A version of him, yes. But I don't normally do favors for criminals, so you'll have to do better than just giving me a lot of lip to get what you want.

[HAHAHA except he literally is. Also, telling Daisy the complete opposite of what she told her as Bruce earlier this month.]

[Batman presses at a concealed button somewhere on his gauntlet. From his communicator, a small speaker activates that plays a pre-recorded video message--

'We have a list, imPorts, a list that we are leaking to you now, live, for your perusal and your understanding.

Fuu Hououji. Commander Shepherd. Lucifer. Jacob Taylor. L'Arachel. Daisy Johnson. Count Dooku. The Doctor.

This, fellow imPorts, is a watch list. A list of your brothers and sisters who the government deemed watchworthy. People of interest. Some of them are still with us. Some of them are gone--'

After that, he stops the message. One must wonder if he had just been waiting to play that the entire time.]

Sounds to me like some of your friends. Past or present, either way, doesn't really matter to me.

Wow. Yeah, you totally got me.

[Except he totally doesn't and she can't believe he thinks that's proof enough. Not to mention the fact that he actually downloaded that clip.]

What proof do you have that I'm a criminal? Other than what some anonymous person says.

[God, that's annoying. He turns to her and steps in closer, towering slightly.]

You're a pretty girl, that stupid act of yours must work on a lot of people. And while I don't have anything on you so far, I've done this long enough to be confident with my hunch.

[He pokes a finger at her.]

If you want what I have, you're going to have to do better.

[Daisy barely contains a smirk at how quickly she's managed to piss him off. It's not stupid, it's being stubborn. Something he'll learn soon enough is a very strong trait of hers.]

By doing what, exactly? Coming clean on all my wrong doings?

[His finger pointing at her and the way he towers over her doesn't intimidate her at all. The mask honestly ruins it.]

Not you. Your little group-- The Constellation. You know more than you're letting on.

[It's a good thing she's had a lot of practice with lying. Although her confusion is genuine, just not in the way she was spinning it. How did he manage to put two and two together?]

What? Seriously? You think I'm involved in that crap?

[He just stares at her like, "Fuckin' yeah I do. Obviously. Clearly that is what I am saying. No doubt about it."

Again do you literally have any proof other than trusting your gut?

[She's calling bullshit. Even though she's still wondering how he thought she was somehow involved with the Constellation. She would never admit to that. Not when Jesse was at risk if she got caught.]

No, but I suppose I could find my way into looking into it more. I wonder if I shouldn't ask the friend whose name you mentioned all those months ago. What was his name again...?

[He seems smugly pleased with himself even before he says the name.]

Jesse?

[He is walking a very thin line right now, but she knows he's just trying to get her to crack. Except for a subtle shift into her expression she doesn't jump to defend him.]

And you think he'd have this information you are clearly trying to get out of thin air?

[If there's any tension in the air, he certainly doesn't seem to be bothered by it. Her changed in expression is noted, although she could just be protective. Either way, it might be worth looking into...]

No way to tell until I try, isn't that right?

[Daisy knew that Jesse could protect himself, which is why she brushes off what he says. At least a little. Sometimes she's afraid of what Jesse might do to someone who threatens him. Especially with how important it was that their identities remained a secret.]

Do you really think I would spend all this time tracking Crane if I was on his side?

I never said that. But you have issues with losing people close to you, and that clouds your judgment.

[He turns to her.]

I still don't know if i can trust you.

[Boy was he pushing all of her buttons tonight.]

Really? Because I'm pretty sure my judgement is pretty clear.

Like how it seems you're not giving up information on Crane, because, for whatever reason, you're protecting him.

From you, maybe. [He says flatly.]

Despite his past, I've got no interest in supporting your personal vendetta. [A pause.] Besides, you seem to have a close enough eye on him pretending to work for Wayne, so I'm not sure what you need my help for.

Right. Of course you know I work for him.

[Daisy rolled her eyes, clearly irritated but not surprised.]

Dunno, seemed like things between you two were pretty personal that night. Are you telling me those feelings have suddenly vanished for you?

No. In fact I'm as cautious as ever, but I think that the work being done now is something worth doing.

And what work is that, exactly?

Giving him a purpose. Something other than crime, and other than something that makes him feel slighted. If this job can keep him occupied, off the streets, then it's worth trying at least.

[He pauses.]

I could tell you where he goes, after he leaves Wayne for the day. But I would have to know you wouldn't let your personal feelings interfere.

Oh, right. Just like you clearly don't let your personal feelings interfere with you do. That's why you wear this mask, right?

You can guess all you want about why I do what I do, I couldn't care less. What I do care about is having to babysit someone who can't make an objective decision.

Babysit someone who-?

[Daisy laughs sarcastically at that.]

You don't want to share intel? Fine. I have other ways.

[He really wants to trust her on this. Trust her not to fuck it up completely because she's got a grudge she's compelled to hold on to. He could use her as someone else to keep an eye on him when he's not being watched at work, but instead she's only pushed him further away from giving her any information.
