WHO: Uzu Sanageyama and Satsuki Kiryuin
WHERE: The outskirts of Heropa, by the side of the road leading to the city
WHEN: Backdated like hell to the 16th of June
WHAT: FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
WARNINGS: None, except general warning for violence considering it's a fight. Nothing particularly heavy should come up though.
He'd been far too excited by the prospect of getting to fight her to even consider going home; once they'd finished speaking, Sanageyama spent much of his time hanging around outdoors, mostly near the edge of the city. When he finally got the call that she was ready he made his way straight there, so it's no surprise he arrived first considering he wasn't that far from their agreed upon location in the first place.
How long has it been been since they had this kind of free time, he wonders. Long before his first match with Matoi, that was for certain, and things only got more hectic following that...but the difference between the "him" then and the "him" now was massive. He knew she'd improved a lot since then as well, but they only ever witnessed each others growth, never experienced it first hand.
That'd change today. The very idea made his blood boil in anticipation.

"You beat me here."
She's not even surprised, really, and she inclines her head toward him with a half-smile, reaching for the tail end of the ribbon tied into her hair. It's barely slipped all the way out before it coils and twists into as close a replica of Bakuzan as her new powers will allow. She gives the improvised blade a twist around her wrist, then sets both hands on the hilt and slides one foot back, settling into a ready stance.
"Shall we?"

It's more personal between them, after all. There might be stronger opponents out there now than Satsuki, but he can't ignore it's more satisfying to test himself against her than a stranger, considering their history.
"...to face you not as your subordinate, Satsuki Kiryuin, but on the battlefield as someone who strives to surpass you. As an opponent who's going to give his all."
And pointless theatrics aside, though he's pretty pleased with that pre-battle shounen speech, she's challenged him to begin his approach. He wastes no time in closing the distance between them by breaking out into a sprint, both hands moving to grip the hilt of his Shinai as he aims a horizontal swing at her right arm.

Her tone is challenging as she braces for his attack, fingers tightening on the hilt of her sword, and she leans forward, knees bent, and twists the blade up into a vertical parry, smirking at him over their crossed swords. Usually, if she bothers to speak during a fight, her banter is acerbic, acidic- tearing her opponents down with her words as well as her sword.
With Sanageyama, she thinks she'll stick to her sword, nodding once.
"Very well, we shall see how close you are, Uzu Sanageyama."
Then there are no more words, just a sharp exhale as she pushes back against him, then drops back and to the side to throw him off balance, sword sweeping in an arc away from him only to be brought up as she pivots to one side of him in a diagonal slice.

So when she swings her sword, his own sword is moved up to block first before he actually turns to face her, both hands slipping to the grip again. Their swords clash only briefly, but he moves not even a second after they do and hops backwards out of the range, lifting his sword back with both hands, then immediately follows through by throwing himself at her and delivering an overhead strike this time.
"Men!"
