WHO: Team Phantom Thieves (and Friends) + Akechi Goro
WHERE: Lucky Cat Cafe, Heropa, FL
WHEN: June 10th
WHAT: Drama and an exagerrated game of Clue and Spy vs Spy.
WARNINGS: None at the moment? Will edit as need be. All headers are puns.
1. When thieves fall, they're consdescending.
[To Futaba's credit, she at least made sure to clear plans with the other members of her team after getting them into this mess of a meeting in the first place. The cafe was nothing like Leblanc, but it was quiet and out of the way.
She had managed to snag a table in one of the far corners, keeping them away from other patrons. Unfortunately, it also left a clear view of the door, and the wait was making her antsy.]
Akechi better show.
2. Secret gaygent men.
[Distance is probably the key to observing people without them knowing. Or well, without at least one of them knowing.
Somewhere in that cafe where the friends Yusuke had made since coming here, the ones that had been warned and dragged into this meeting. Futaba just hoped they could be discreet and that Akechi wouldn't notice them, otherwise there would be trouble.

He will. If not, you can track him down, can't you?

He winks and lets out a pleased little meow. That will have to do.]
no subject
Like we'll need to track him down. He's going to want to keep an eye on us too, you know.
[He says that, but it doesn't sound like he's upset about it. Akira is just grinning, a little bit excited to see Akechi again after their last meeting ended prematurely.]
no subject
Or the coffee from the office. Who gave them the right to buy such trash? Once he has his coffee, he simply strolls over, giving a bit of a pleasant smile. ]
My, you do know how to make someone feel welcome. I had no idea Kitagawa-kun and Kurusu-kun were here as well. [ He takes his seat next to Akira. ]
no subject
She frowns at him from across the table. He always had to act so pleasant.]
They insisted on coming when I told them you were here...And you did say you didn't expect me to come alone.
no subject
When he sees Akechi walk through the door, he shuts his notepad and stuffs it away in his bag. Unconsciously, he grips the edge of the table, consciously, his foot taps next to Yuri underneath the table to tip him off.
The need for such pleasantries is clear, given the public space, but still so frustrating. ]
Of course we insisted.
[ Akechi gets a disdainful look before Yusuke turns his attention to Akira. Was there a plan, besides just making sure he was really here? ]

.......okay, look, it's also very boring waiting around for people to show up. He's got to entertain himself somehow until then.]

[ He managed to find a harness for Viktor to wear, and with the shabby clothes he found at a charity store, he was pretty damn sure that he made a convincing blind man. At least it was enough to get one of the workers to come up and help him to a seat. ]
[ This was totally going to work. Stupid Yusuke, saying this was a dumb idea. ]
no subject
Coming in with the newly-styled "blind" man is his seeing-eye dog, a large silver-colored poodle ... who has no idea how to be a seeing-eye dog. Viktor starts out, navigating Adachi into the café without incident, but oh boy the new smells once they're inside. He hadn't shifted into a dog inside the café before and his tail is just wagging away, looking everywhere he can from Adachi's side. It doesn't get better once Adachi is seated either, Viktor antsy and shifting from his seated position under the table, almost too excitable to sit still.
And oddly enough, the dog keeps looking over at the group of teens seated near them. If it wasn't so obviously a dog, one could almost say he was listening in on them. But that's just silly to think, right? ]
no subject
But it would be ridiculous to think it's anything but a cat...right? It's probably just reacting to the tone of everyones' voices. That's all.]

//In which a fox gets an earful
It isn't until they are outside that she turns on him.]
You need to calm down. It's just making things worse, and Akechi is getting more suspicious, I guarantee it.
no subject
I know that. Of course I know that! I would like nothing more than to calm down, but he already knows things he has no way of knowing, and he is manhandling--
[ Just stop. He has to stop. He exhales long and hard, like a kettle being taken off the burner, until the barking starts, followed by the screeching of chairs. ]
And Adachi!
no subject
[That commotion inside could not be anything but terrible. They really should have coordinated this more.]
Your friends are...not subtle.
no subject
[ At least he can keep his volume down? ]
I told him not to come, and I told him Akechi would see through his ridiculous disguise. So here we are.

Time to harass adachi
Wherever he's gone to, Akira follows, his face set in a glare.]
Hey. Adachi, right? A word, please.
[He's going to take him somewhere a little more private than right in the middle of the cafe, but not MUCH more.]
no subject
U-uh... yeah, sure.
no subject
So. Do you often disregard others' wishes? Or is this like... a one-time thing?
no subject
W-well... you tell a career detective that you and a girl you don't know are just going to go meet a random murderer after saying they've been off murdering for years, and you see what happens.
[ There was a lot of false bravado in his voice, very clearly intimidated. ]
