A - Figure Skating
[This is definitely not any of the songs Viktor has been trying to suggest to Yuri for his free skate, and yet here he is practicing an exhibition set to it anyway. His movements on the ice are intense and, quite frankly, almost frantic—one moment he's launching himself across the ice and the next leaping into a series of impossible looking spins and jumps, all of it embellished with arm movements that echo the angry gesticulating of someone in a heated argument.

He pauses frequently, moving from the ice to a notebook he's left sitting on the barrier wall to jot something down or cross out a jump that he's decided he doesn't like. Anyone glancing at the page while he's on the ice will see a lot of shorthand notation for different step sequences and jumps along with clearer notes like "imagine idiot detective being an idiot" or "needs more FOCUS", but he's quick to close the book if he notices anyone actually reading it.]

Spying's rude, you know.

B - Dance Battle!!
[Yuri's spending a lot of time out on the streets of Heropa this month. He's gotten a camera at some point, and it's not unusual to spot him setting it up to film himself while he practices parkour moves around town. Today, however, it looks like he's been pulled into an impromptu dance battle with some of the local teens. The camera's been set up to catch all of it, and a few of the teens are not good at all (especially when compared to the gold medal holder they're challenging), but everyone's having a good time. Even Yurio flashes a smile here and there, occasionally giving one of the other kids advice on how to improve their moves or applauding someone who's actually impressed him.

There's plenty of room for passing imPorts to join in on the action or audience, or maybe someone wants to tell these noisy kids to get lost and quit making such a ruckus in the middle of the sidewalk.]

C - Oh shit a Tiger
[Holy shit it's right there, just lounging in front of Heropa 017 like it belongs there or something. Maybe someone should do something about that??]

Your powers changed? The same thing happened to Adachi when he was ported out, supposedly.

Yeah. I went home for a few hours, and when I came back I had these ice powers and could turn into a tiger. Before that I was stuck with this power that made people obsessed with me when I skated sometimes.

[Thank god that was gone. Fans were bad enough without getting a super boost from powers.]

Are you sure you don't still have that? I couldn't have taken my eyes off you if I wanted to.

[...wait, what? Rewind. There's no way he heard all that correctly. ]

Did you say a tiger?

[Yuri can feel his face warming at the compliment this time. It's nothing any different than the gushing encouragement he gets from fans and media alike, but it always carries a different weight coming from someone he actually gives a shit about.]

Oh, uh. Yeah. A white one.

[ An immediate response. Actually, how dare Yuri not mention this before! The proper way to introduce himself was "hi, I'm Yuri, I turn into a tiger!" He knows Yusuke is all about finding the beauty in the world, right? That he would need a majestic, giant cat in his life goes without saying. ]

Right now? At least let me get off the ice first...

[Honestly, there was just no way a tiger was going to manage to look regal on the ice, even if that tiger was a world class skater.]

[ Yuri pls. He can't contain his excitement! ]

[Yusuke pls. Yuri rolls his eyes, but skates over to the rink's exit where he left his skate guards. He takes a minute to fix them to his blades and then to unlace his skates to set them aside. And then he just stands there doing nothing—until a bright glow starts to envelop him, and his form begins to shift.]

[And then there is a very majestic looking white tiger left standing in his place.]

[ He knows what to expect, and still he jumps when the Yuri he knows is replaced by an enormous feline. Not just any tiger, a white one! A beast of the ice and snow!

Yuri is perfect in every way. The only person who truly understands Yusuke's aesthetic and gives him inspiration he didn't know he needed. He's definitely getting misty eyed and not even attempting to hide it. ]

I have never in my life witnessed something so monumentally gorgeous. If I am ported home tomorrow, it will have all been worth it! Can I touch you?

[Yuri's used to getting over the top reactions from fans, but even he wasn't prepared for that much flattery over this. It's a good thing a tiger's face is so hard to read or it would be too obvious how flustered he is.]

Uh... If you want to, sure.

And you can still talk!

[ He was expecting a nod, at best. No dream could ever compare to this.

And of COURSE he wants to. Duh!

Yusuke takes a step forward, and raises both hands to stroke behind the tiger's ears. Their faces are quite close, it's hard not to be when Yuri's tiger face is so large. And soft.

Impossibly soft. How could a wild animal be so soft? ]

[Yuri freezes. What the hell is he supposed to do now? He said Yusuke could pet him so he can't move away, but he's so close! And his hands feel so nice on his ears and—and...he's purring.]

[lempereur]

[ Does Yuri know he's doing that,  he wonders? Intentional or not, he must like it, so Yusuke stays where he is. How many people can say they've heard a tiger purring in real life? Getting a happy reaction only widens his grin. ]

You know, Yuri, I thought it would be fearsome. It's mostly just cute.

[beautiful_monster]

[The purring fades out abruptly, and Yuri manages to pout, laying his ears down to either side and ducking his head slightly.]

Cute? Come on, there's no way I'm anything but cool right now.

[lempereur]

[ Yusuke can pout right back, then! ]

Oh, come on, don't be like that. It's hard to be intimidating when you're purring like a giant kitten.

[beautiful_monster]

—I was purring?!

[Apparently he did not know.]

[ Oops. Yusuke's hands freeze. ]

Did you not mean to?

[He shakes his head slightly.]

It just happened.

Yuri reaches out to put his paw on Yusuke's face in a "boop" of his own.]

I'm cool too!

[ There's no equivalence here because Yuri's paw is as big as his whole face! This is no boop, this is an attack!

He's knocked backwards a few feet, rubbing his nose, but honestly? It's fine. Now he's made a tiger purr and survived a vicious attempt on his life, all in one day. It couldn't get better! ]

Fine! I'm convinced. Very cool.

[He's definitely laughing under his breath and trying not to look like he is.]

[ He isn't sure what a tiger laugh is supposed to look like, but that was definitely a reaction of some...kind. ]

[It probably looks a bit like very strange growling, like just about every other emotion on a tiger.

And, now that he's done getting his ears scratched, the transformative light envelops him again and returns him to his actual form.]
