[i'm not my body or how i choose to destroy it]
WHO: Jyn Erso & Jean Grey (with a possible cameo by Cassian Andor)
WHERE: Jean's House, Maurtia Falls
WHEN: Backdated to June 1
WHAT: Jean tries to teach Jyn how to control her telepathy powers.
WARNINGS: None, will update as needed.
Jyn didn't leave her house in De Chima without making sure Cassian knew her whereabouts. The days following their rendezvous in the woods (coincidentally when she also discovered her third power, the one she'd yet to figure out - shape shifting) were a bit .. awkward for Jyn. Not around Cassian (part of her thinks that there would never be a time where she'd feel awkward or uncomfortable around him; no, if anything, he makes her feel more solid and secure in her own skin), but rather with the other room mates. She'd went to Veronica's place of work to sort of .. discuss things, mostly a brief telling of she and the others' backstories and what led them to their eventual and surprising arrival in De Chima, if only to help the poor girl know just what it was she'd gotten herself into by being placed in a house with the three of them. She and Kay had had some sort of understanding with each other due to literally being trapped in an elevator and having no other option but to talk, but things were still ..
Tense.
At least for Jyn.
Not to mention that getting everyone's constant influx of thoughts and memories (and hallucinations or whatever it was that Veronica gets) was draining on top of it all. So when she and Jean seemed to have a fairly good conversation via text, she welcomed the idea of being able to be out of the house for a while,
and with the express purpose of trying to learn how to control - or at least filter - what thoughts came in and what didn't.
But since she didn't know much about the woman, she'd given Cassian all of the information she had about her, their meeting time, her impression of the stranger, and so forth. She hadn't felt like it would've been overwhelmingly necessary to have him there, lurking in the shadows - but it was comforting to know that he knew where she'd gone, in case things went sour, and she ended up in a ditch.
No, stop it, everything's going to be fine, she mutters to herself as she nears Jean's house. Once there, she lingers outside of the door for a few moments, glancing up at the facade of the building, before finally rapping her knuckles against the door.
