Nom, Nom, Cookies!
WHO: Winry Rockbell (
hands4healing) and YOU!
WHERE: Resident #035
WHEN: Pre-dated for the weekend (4 October)!
WHAT: Winry wants to bake cookies. Comesample help bake!
WARNINGS: Overeating? Sugar shock?
Winry had been planning on having Kay over to bake cookies, but she mentioned it to Mabel, and to Henry, and the next thing she knew, she'd invited a lot of people over for baking and sampling cookies.
So, she wound up deciding Saturday was the day to bake, and brought home a lot of flour, eggs, vanilla, sugar (brown and white), and other ingredients, and a lot of baking sheets. When Zoey let her know someone was at the door, Winry ran to find out who it was.
"Hi! Come on in!"

Open To Winry and Beyooooooooooond I'm sorry i have no excuse
COOKIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIES. Clem hasn't had cookies in years. Sometimes she'd be lucky to get animal crackers. Surprisingly it was not the first thing she did when she was pulled to this place. Actually snacks and things were the farthest from her mind. The opportunity to help someone bake cookies was too good to pass up. Also, she'd get to meet a dog, and talk with Winry more. Thus she made her way to the other girl's apartment, stepping inside when Winry greeteed her.
"Hi Winry. Thanks for inviting me." She hesitated before entering, cautiously stepping inside. She had a bag in one hand, with a quart of milk. They're baking cookies, they can't NOT have some extra milk.
[ Post Baking Not-Shenanigans ]
The apartment was nice, and it smelled of cookies. Clementine wasn't particularly big on starting conversation with people she didn't know, though. She actually seemed perfectly happy to watch others mingling with each other, a slight smile on her face. Honestly she couldn't get enough of watching people be... people and not assholes.

Zoey sat politely, waiting for an invitation to approach. "Zoey, come here, and meet Clementine." Winry patted her thigh, and Zoey walked over, wagging her tail, first looking up at Winry, then sitting and offering Clementine her paw.
"My friend Ed's here, too, you'll get to meet him."

What a well trained dog! As Winry called Zoey over, Clem smiled a little, leaning down to take the puppy's paw and give it a shake. "Hi Zoey. Good girl." She glanced at Winry, "She's really pretty." Such a cute puppeh!
She's a little hesitant about the meeting of strange people, but this is Winry's place of course. "Who else did you invite?"

If Winry saw Clementine was having a problem, she'd suggest she take Zoey for a walk, or out in the backyard for a good game of fetch.

"This is Zoey, right? She's the cutest! I hope she doesn't mind if my shoes have magic pig smell on them. You haven't started baking yet, right?"
no subject
"I don't know, she might not have smelled a magic pig before," Winry said, grinning. "And we haven't really gotten started yet." There were eggs on the counter, and flour and sugar, and a big can of beef broth. Among other things, like bowls, measuring cups and spoons, an electric and hand-held beater.
comes in weeks late with starbucks
"Good! I didn't want to miss any part-- the mixing and stuff's always the best anyway." She wandered over to put the sprinkles down and investigate the stuff on the counter.
"Uhh, Winry." Mabel raised an eyebrow, pointing at the beef broth. "Was this a lie to trick people into eating health food?"
ooo, starbucks!
"There's still a lot to do, Mabel, you didn't miss anything." Winry was glad to offer the reassurance.
"Hmm?" She glanced at the counter, seeing the beef broth. "Oh, that's to make cookies for Toboe and Zoey!"

OTA
This was it. Kay had prepared for this day by stocking up not just on the basics, but also on what they could use to decorate and flavor their cookies. She had chocolate chips, of course, but she even brought candy sprinkles in various shapes, cookie cutters, cocoa powder, even a jar of peanut butter. All these ingredients were piled in a large paper bag that she carried carefully. It was probably not a good idea to let the crows do it. Speaking of which, Kay had made sure she was not followed; the last thing they needed was a crow invasion.
Instead of knocking on the door, Kay performs her best - and by that, we mean perfect, because she can reproduce it exactly - imitation of a standard doorbell.
[OPTION B]
Kay, being the friendly, cheerful soul she is, is all too happy to mingle with anyone and everyone. Whether during the baking, or while waiting for the cookies to bake, she is easily approachable and will even do spot-on impressions of certain imPorts that she has met in person on request.

She held the door open, allowing the sounds of some people milling around envelope Kay, along with the smells of sugar and candy and an oven heating.
Peering at the sky, Winry didn't notice any crows anywhere. "Where are your friends?"
no subject
"The crows? I told them to stay out of our way today," she answered, walking toward the dining table and placing the paper bag on top of it. "I knew they would try to steal some cookies, and Ed...uh, I think he'd rather not see a crow today." Not after he had to chase them down for stealing Winry's earrings.

Beckoning Kay farther into the house, Winry led the way to the chaos in the kitchen. Flour was on the counters and floors, Zoey was dancing at the kitchen door, waiting for something to fall, so she could dart in and grab it.

For Winry
Smiling once the door is opened, Henry holds out the carton of eggs he agreed to bring.
"Hi, Winry! Thanks again for inviting me."
He does a quick glance around as he steps inside, realizing there are a few other people here that he knows, which excites him, making him even happier that he was invited.
"I'm totally ready to help, just let me know what I need to do."

Ed therefore is unable to resist poking his head in when he hears the noise and smells the wonderful cookie smell wafting through the house from the kitchen. Oh. That's right. Winry had mentioned something about this hadn't she? Ed had just forgotten, what with everything lately. But that kind of does make it a nice surprise in a way.]
Sooooo how long till they're ready?
[And this is where he notices the others in the kitchen that are not Winry. Oh right.]
Er, hi guys? I'm Ed, one of Winry's roommates here.

He smiles, though, when he runs into Ed. ]
Hi, I'm Henry! Winry told me about you, it's nice to meet you.

[And yeah he isn't sure what exactly Winry might have told Henry or any of the others for that matter. But he gives a light chuckle at that.]
I'm sure she did. Seems to tell everyone about me. Hopefully she wasn't talking your ear off about me breaking my arm all the time or something.

SORRY VERY LATE TAG
Hi, Ed! In case you're wondering, I told the crows to stay home.
no subject
[And a lack of pesky birds trying to steal things. Yeah, he doesn't really anticipate a repeat of that with Winry's earrings. Ed gives a wave as well as he approaches, entering the kitchen. Mindful of the heat from the oven and tray if one is coming out.]

Kay leans against the counter and gestures to the oven.]
I demonstrated how to make my double chocolate chocolate chip cookies today. They should be ready soon.
