For a while there, it looked like our heroes were running out of time...

The good thing about time travel though, as any seasoned traveler will tell you, is that it is impossible to be late.

Through tireless effort, teams of imPorted heroes in partnership with a worried and largely clueless US government have finally seized on a cure for the ever-worsening instability of a Porter confused by ties to both the present and the past.

To fix the problem, they must coordinate a simultaneous shut-down and restart in both 2021 and 1986, using the stockpiled continuum gathered on dangerous scavenging missions across the globe and throughout history as battery power for jump-starting a kind of factory reset.

Everyone knows there's no guarantee of success, and that those imPorts who choose to volunteer for the mission in 1986 risk being stranded in the past or worse. The mood is grim and somber, final messages back to mission control in 2021 brief and resolute.

The President(s) wish the imPort community well in addresses broadcast across the nation twice over... and in a Porter Building either end of a tamed Doorway through time, teams of imPorts synchronise and pull the plug.

The Porter keens a sharp note of distress and falls silent.

The richly woven tapestry of history seems to be unravelling. Perhaps it's time our intrepid heroes try their hand at a little restorative needlework?

Introduction

The 1980s, she was finding were so very...Imperial. The leadership of the country was venal, surreptitious, and willing to engage in truly astonishing amounts of criminality according to her research. Everything was subsumed by power and greed. It was, in a word, familiar. There was so much conspicuous consumption, so much avarice. Had she landed on Earth in this time, she was certain, she could have knocked over the country in very short order.

She has, of course, adapted herself to the time; and is thrilled to do it. It reminds her of the older, simpler days when she was just an agent wearing a character. And so, Matilda 'call me Tilly' Clairmont was born.

She had dyed her hair brown, emulating Kirstie Alley's then-style, picking it out of a magazine. The eyes remained the same - it always helped to have one distinguishing feature for a lot of reasons, though they were frequently hidden behind sunglasses. Her fashion choices moved to match. And because, she couldn't resist, well...always arrive making an impression with what you drive...

CHRISTMAS SHOPPING // OPEN

Jane knew that Christmas was coming up, and while she never really went all out to celebrate it, she still wanted to give her friends something. So many people she knew had been going back home over the last few months … She wanted to make sure that those who were still around knew she appreciated them.

Now if only she knew what to give all of them.

“Ugh,” people would hear her exclaim as she looked over some sweater choices.

TECHNOLOGY HUNTING // OPEN

Various wires, microchips, fans, and other pieces of hardware were always in demand. Jane was one of those people who kept them in demand as she worked on various projects. She seemed to be running through some parts more frequently lately … which resulted in her leaning so far down into a bin, trying to get something, that she pretty much got stuck. Upside down.

“Can someone help me?”

In a park, someone would see Jane circling a small tree. Upon coming closer, they would hear her calling up to something.

“Come on, it’s alright … No, no! Don’t! Leave those birds alone!”
