The Doctor rolls his eyes, then makes the series of complex chirping noises again. Obviously Shale can't tell what he's saying, but the eye roll and general tone of voice obviously imply that there's a little bit of 'well THIS motherfucker' and shittalking Shale to otters in the statement.
