You see I cannot be forsaken

WHERE: Yuu, Mika and Krul's apartment housing

WHAT: Yuu makes his decision on whether to take Krul up on her offer.
WARNINGS: Vampirism, blood.
[It's taken a few months, since Yuu had first been faced with Krul's offer. Her offer to have him join her and Mika as a vampire. He's debated it in his head since. As if this could be quantified through lists of pros and cons. As if something like this would be so easy to decide on. But at the end of the day, he's aware that he has a few options. Death, eventually would come for him. Probably sooner rather than later given his recklessness, being in the military and caught in the middle of....everything back home. Even if the seraph gene and Ashuramaru saved him from death that one time with the pills back home, he can't rely on it. Neither can he guarantee if he died here that the continuum stuff would come into play.
He swallows, biting his lip as he glances down to his chest where he already feels his heart hammering in his chest as he tracks the few steps to Krul's bedroom door. If he can hear it and thinks it is deafening, his heart beat, then she could probably hear him coming and knows he's at her door. Part of him wonders for a moment, recalling how she said he had to be sure of this, that he had a choice, but then he thinks of Mika, a flash of that pale blonde hair, those vivid eyes of his best friend. No, he would do this. For Mika. It wouldn't necessarily entirely avoid the fate of him becoming a demon. That was still a possibility if he was particularly stubborn about feeding and starved himself enough, or if someone were to rip out his heart. But that was still better odds, longer odds than what he figures at the moment. Given back home he's slowly but surely losing what remains of his humanity over time in his losing control, in his efforts to protect his squad, his family. That's why he makes any of his reckless decisions.
Like this one. As his hand knocks against her door, as if he actually needs to announce his presence at the other side of it. He hates how his voice seems to crack when he says her name. As if even his vocal chords might be unsure about the weight of this choice. But that's not what he wants. He wants to ensure he has time, that he can stay with Mika, even if finding a way to keep his promise might take time. Even if Krul says that isn't possible. He'd at least do his best. And if it turned out there wasn't a way, or at least not here, they would still be together regardless. As much as he has control over that, anyway. Mika might not like this, might freak out initially, but. It would be worth it. It had to be.]
