It takes Sakuma a moment of mental jogging to catch back up, playing connect-the-dots with what little has been said and what little he knows. He's certain this has to do with Kidou. There could be no one else to whom such a concern was pertinent. Which only makes it all the more obvious to Sakuma how little he knows about his best friends' circumstances. They're far from being all on the same page right now. Will that show in the way they play soccer? Will it become a problem in other areas of their lives, as well? Or perhaps...it already has.
