Had Nelson known his overeager politeness was unsettling he might be more inclined to relax and allow himself to scrutinize Kristoff a bit more critically, but he was always out to make a good impression when he could. Besides, he rationalized it was beneficial for housemates to be on good terms with one another. Small talk was unfortunately the best icebreaker he knew aside from criticism or flirting.
