"From what I understand, it's a bit like an electric fence, or the equivalent of booby-trapping an entranceway. Mine are arranged so that any potential intruders are shocked and forcibly repelled, and then turned into either mice or cockroaches should they attempt to breach the wards again. Teekl hasn't eaten any intruders yet, but it's probably just a matter of time."

He shrugs, and sprawls back onto the couch with his pizza.
