WHO: Junseo and Noah
WHERE: Noah's big house in the countryside
WHEN: Earlier today
WHAT: Two doofuses trying to make friends
WARNINGS: Terror bird
[ When Junseo first ran into Noah he'd enjoyed talking to the other boy, but he hadn't necessarily expected to spend so much time with him. It had been exciting to think, for a brief moment, that he'd met yet another vampire to bond with, and even though that turned out to be a bust at least Junseo has made a friend.
Maybe a friend? Junseo wasn't entirely sure where they stood on the friend scale, but he did know that Noah seemed to want to spend more time with him lately, and that a lot of people Noah knew from his home apparently went back there. Junseo wasn't exactly the type to ever pry into private matters, so unless a lot of information was volunteered up front? He probably wasn't ever going to know the full story.
That was ok though. He understood the pain of people you care about disappearing, but he liked the chance to make more friends his own age. Despite how long he'd been in this world it really didn't feel like he had that many. Then again, back home Junseo had no friends at all, so it's still a step up from how things used to be.
He definitely never had anyone invite him over to their house for a couple of years before coming here, and now...! Well, it's still only happened a few times, but that few times is still an exciting accomplishment for Junseo. He looks pretty thrilled as he stands in front of the old farmhouse, taking it all in. He wants to give it a compliment, say something nice, because he is the guest here, but mostly he just blurts out-- ]

How come you own so many cars?

A lot more people used to live here. There were seven of us, over the summer.
[The next car is older, a classic Camaro. Noah doesn't touch it.]
Most of my friends were big car people.

Not that he'd been that interested in being able to. It mostly seemed like more of a pain than it was worth, but seeing all these cars out here like this was still impressive. ]
Seven? Woah...
[ He takes another look at the house. It does look pretty big for just one guy. ]

[Noah leads him through the last of the cars, and around the side of the house. The field is wide and open to the tree line, interrupted only by the eclectic and colorful barn. It's a mild day for January, and Noah pushes his sleeves up. The tall, dry grass tickles through the holes in his jeans.]
The barn's where Henrietta lives. She should be awake by now.

At least... Junseo is assuming it's a pet. Most people don't keep their friends and associates out in barns.
Junseo perks up, and starts towards the barn immediately. ]
Dog?
[ Not even close. Boy is he gonna be in for a surprise. ]

[As they get closer to the barn, the bright paintings become clearer. Some are just swirls and shapes, some are crude graffiti, but most seem to be large, rainbow-winged ravens, soaring through and around the other pieces. A few rusted spray paint cans still lean against the wall, like someone laid down their work one day and never came back.
The doors are open a few inches, and Noah pushes his meager body weight against one to open it the rest of the way. Cool air rushes out, smelling like hay.]
Just don't freak out. She wouldn't hurt anyone.

His attention is ripped away from the barn at Noah's comment though. Not exactly a dog, and something that would make him freak out...? Junseo's barely got two braincells to rub together, but he can figure out that he's about to be shown something a little unusual. ]
What is she?

[And just as if on cue, Henrietta emerges from behind the hay.
She looks to be part bird, part human, part classic horror alien. Her head tapers into a long, curved beak, but there is no mouth. There are holes for ears in her strange skull, but no eyes. Still, she seems to see the newcomer, and starts to walk towards them.]
Good girl. This is Junseo, he's a friend.

He closes and opens his mouth a couple of times, and glances at Noah not once, but twice.
But Noah seems to like her, and Junseo's seen worse things (in video games...), so maybe it's... ok? ]
....... hi?
[ His voice is smaller than usual. He's an undead creature of the night, a literal monster, and yet he's kind of freaked out a little by by Henrietta here. ]
