I can't resist doing these sometimes, sorry

[It was not the best day for Lief Olesen, owner of a certain truck. From morning on it's been plagued by delays and misfortunes; from his alarm clock failing to wake him, his automated coffee pot full of coffee now approaching burned that he didn't have time to drink. Sneaking gulps of searing, awful-tasting black coffee from an insulated canteen worked, until he'd set it down and didn't check to make sure the lid was set correctly.

He drove in to work with coffee coating the passenger seat floor, with his boss's basilisk stare never once leaving him as he hurried into the office. There he sat down to his crowded desk piled high with new files - just as Almbridge's rewrite hit the overdue mark, apparently it'd been passed to his responsibility without him knowing.

He'd spent a few hours on it, then a few more working on a resignation letter.

When lunch rolled around, delayed by an hour due to a fire drill, he took no time to race out the door and to his car. The scent of burned coffee filled the air as he wrenched the stuck drivers' side door open, but he still didn't think he had time to deal with it. Soon after he was impatiently counting the seconds down on the intersection notoriously mistimed for the traffic volumes, stuck in a long line of equally impatient cars. Fingers drumming on the steering wheel, eyes half glued to the clock on his dashboard, he'd started to evaluate the risks of trying to pull to the emergency lane somehow when the light finally flashed to green.

At least, he thought to himself, the day probably can't get much worse.

That's about the time the tiger showed up, and his day went from bad to fantastically worse.

From his new angle on the road, he couldn't really get a good look at what was happening. The windshield spiderwebbed with cracks thick enough to distort anything outside. His leg throbbed painfully. Everything hurt a little even doing nothing, probably due to the hard bruise and slight cut his seatbelt left across his collarbone. In that moment, trying to think about what just happened, Lief has an epiphany that all the irritations of that day seemed mild in comparison.

Weirdest thing though, he could have sworn his truck flew through the air a solid minute after he'd hit that tiger. That can't have been what just happened, he thinks. That would be crazy.

He breathes out. "Okay... okay. That's over, I'm okay-"

Today, life seems to have a viciously honed sense of perfect timing.

When he felt the truck lift up again, Lief finally broke. The truck sailed serenely through the sky, trailing a series of screamed curses on its path to Hazel.

Being a concerned citizen, all that manages to do is entertain Tetsuo. It's perfect. Whoever's in that truck sounds about as pissed as he is! All Tetsuo has to do now is step back, pulling Fubuki with him. He eyeballs it... then casually lets gravity claim the unlucky truck again once he's fairly sure it's over Hazel.]
