For supposedly being a full house, Lisa hasn't seen much of her new housemates, other than her brother. She's been given a bit of a heads up regarding alternate worlds, blah blah, don't flirt with Mick, whatever... But it's nice to have somewhere to call home maybe a little more long-term than usual. She's not sold on going legit, but the perks haven't hurt, so far.

She's admittedly not much of a homebody herself, but she'll be there most nights, showering most mornings, and probably leaving her things all over the house because hell, she lives here.

It's inevitable that someone runs into her in the hallway in some state of undress on her way to or from the shower, wandering around the kitchen in her ice skates (with the guards on, don't worry), or possibly taking up the entire sofa while watching a Fast & Furious marathon.

Whichever way you slice it, there's a girl in the Roguehaus now, and that's bound to be a little awkward even before you factor in everything else.

There's not really a word exchanged, just Leonard holding the door to his room open so she can walk in. Of course, she'll have her own room, but it feels right to let her in here. Perhaps especially because their other roommates - and their various, numerous pets - weren't allowed inside.

The room is relatively barren. The bed is big enough for two people, in theory. There's one side that looks slept in. There's a desk with several brochures piled on top of it, most of them from art galleries or museums. Everything more interesting is in the drawers and everything even more interesting hidden even more carefully. He's not about to leave his heist plans out in a house full of white hats.

There aren't any pictures and the walls are empty, white, apart from a few scorch marks. There's a lighter on the nightstand for no discernible reason and some books piled next to it. "Home sweet home. Come in, sis."

[ New imports seemed to be arriving every single day, and it didn't take a genius to figure out they had a new roommate. Mick hadn't seen this mysterious person yet, so one morning when he goes in the kitchen to make a pot of coffee he surprised by the sight of a woman.

Weird.

He hasn't spotted her skates yet (with the island counter between them) so it hasn't quite clicked yet. After a moment of surprise blinking, he smiles, try to be friendly. ]

…Hi. Don't think I've had the pleasure? Name's Mick.

[She's known Mick was around, at least because of who her brother is, she'd found out about that fairly quickly, but she'd hardly gone out of her way to find him. Something about the way Lenny described the situation was... unsettling.]

Oh, is it?

[She grins, slowly, eyes him up and down as much as she can see with the cabinetry between them, and steps delicately closer, holds out her hand, then thinks better of it, waves with a waggle of fingers instead.]

Sorry, still getting used to-- [She pauses, smiles, touches a spoon on the counter top with her ring and pinky fingers, watches as it slowly turns to gold, before looking back up at Mick.]

I'm Lisa.

The room is sparse but it's not surprising, really. But Lisa takes her time to look around, anyway, eyes the scorch marks with a little concern, but turns back to Len within moments.

"You've certainly made yourself right at home," she says, eyebrows raised, but it's sarcastic at best, understanding at worst.

She takes a seat on the end of the bed, watches him closely for a moment, and smiles.

"What are you up to?"

First he closes the door, then he makes sure to lock it and then he steps up to her, lifting his shoulders in a shrug. "Just got done with something, actually."

That said he reaches for her ear, not quite touching, but a slight of hand later and while pretending that magic tricks like pulling something out of someone's ear aren't the least cool thing anyway, Leonard offers her a pair of golden earrings on his palm.

"Still your style?"

[ Piper has definitely been scarce the last week or so, between work and getting everything for the imPie fundraiser ready. So scarce, in fact, that he had completely missed the fact that there's someone new in the house at all. But now that all of that is over with, he's actually taking a day off from work to get some rare and deserved relaxation.

He comes down the stairs, a fuzzy grey chinchilla (which Lisa has no doubt seen rolling around the house in his plastic ball) tucked into the crook of his arm, heading for the couch with the intent of watching a movie himself... only the couch seems to be occupied. ]

...Uh. Hello?

Oh. Oh.

[ It takes him approximately three seconds to make the connection. A record for him.

Lisa. Gold. (Not her usual abilities, but the porter is a thing.) "My sister is here."

His face goes from slack-jawed to terrified to nervous smile in those same seconds. His usual go to for dealing with Lisa is to smile through it. At least he was already forewarned that she was alive.

The last thing he needs, though, is two Snarts that look at him like that. ]

I didn't even recognize you -- you're blonde in my universe.

He has her full attention even before he answers her, and she's a little amused and a little concerned, but it makes sense that he locks the door. It can't be easy for him, sharing so much space. She's all ears when he mentions he's just finished a job, literally, it would seem, as he pulls a trick she hasn't seen him play since they were... much younger.

She can't help but grin looking up at him, then back to his hand before she reaches out to carefully lift the beautiful earrings from his palm, holds them up to her ears, poses.

"What do you think?" she asks rhetorically, wants to maybe kiss him on the cheek, doesn't want to push, settles for a smirk.

"These really for me, or did you have someone else in mind?" she asks, nothing but warmth in her tone in contrast to the sarcastic nature of the question, while she removes the earrings she'd been wearing and replaces them with the new.

"Perfect fit." Might have looked overdone on just about anyone else, but she was definitely making it work, as he'd known she would. Maybe he is biased in his own way. Whatever. He's just happy to see her smile.

"Didn't have anyone in mind. They were shiny." Who needs more reason than that? Certainly not him. He ends up sitting on the other side of the bet, one foot propped up on the mattress and the other still on the floor, leaning back in what is his version of comfortable. "Now they're yours."

[Those are some impressive facial acrobatics and if Lisa was a better person maybe she wouldn't be grinning by the time he settles on a nervous smile. But she's not a better person, so she's definitely grinning, and it's a little bit wicked, and not the least bit apologetic.]

Blonde doesn't really suit me. [Ironically.]

[It's one of her favorite wigs, all the same.

She studies his face a moment longer, her smile warming, a little less sharp.]

Well, you're both bald, but that's not really surprising.

[ That smile is so very Lisa Snart. It was almost comforting, in a way. Scary, but familiar. Mick almost missed her. Though, of course, this wasn't the Lisa he knew either. ]

Miss hair sometimes, but probably less flammable this way.

[ He rubs his shiny bald head. ]

You, uh, always got the Goldfinger thing going on, or is it new?

She smiles around him more often than not. It just looks like a smirk or annoyance a lot of the time.

A careful and practiced flip of her hand sends her hair over her shoulder and out of the way as she turns toward him, cocks her head to the side. "Well, at least you still have good taste," she decides, then decides to push a little. "Thank you."

She doesn't hold his gaze too long, just long enough, then her attention strays to the lighter on the night stand, of all things.

"Don't tell me you've started smoking." She knows better.

[Her smile cracks into something genuine and she almost giggles, it's a soft laugh, a failed attempt at holding it back.]

Forget flammable, nothing smells worse than burning hair.

[She grimaces, prods at the spoon, considers showing him the other half of her brand new "ability," but ultimately decides against it. Might as well keep some of her cards close.]

It's new. Not as convenient as you'd think. Try shaking someone's hand like this--

[She finger-guns both hands at him, complete with a smarmy smile, her ring and pinky fingers curled in.]

[She grins up at him, waves like this isn't news to her. Another of her elusive housemates, but she's met this one, at least. Still can't look at whipped cream the same way because of this one.]

Who's your friend?

[ The smile wavers a bit at the mention of burning hair. That one's not a Lisa thing, though. Just been around too many fires. He very happily takes the distraction her powers create.

He whistles softly. ] No kidding. I ain't envious of you trying to figure that one out.

[ And is probably going to keep out of arm's reach. ]

Least my powers are harmless.

"What?" He frowns before looking at the lighter so he can make the connection, then he just shakes his head. "Nah. Just pocketed it somewhere, you know how it is."

Compulsive stealing. Although right now, it's mostly lying that he's doing, but it's not a lie he'd even consider feeling guilty over. Yes, fire make him think of someone and there aren't a lot of recommended ways to grieve over leaving people behind, so this works as good as any.

"What job did they stick you with?" In his head he already goes over what money he has at the moment, just to figure out how much he can give her, so she can get settled. Force of habit.

[ He steps up closer to the back of the couch so the chinchilla can investigate the new person. ]

...Are you our new housemate?

[Curling irons. Enough said.]

I'm sure it'll come in handy...

[She turns, a little less gracefully than usual, but she's wearing ice skates in the kitchen, practicing her balance, it's not a perfect art form yet, and makes her way back over to the other counter, where the coffee is finally done. She misses her heels.

A glance over her shoulder and she smiles, curious.]

Harmless? Do tell.

She doesn't call him on it, understands compulsive stealing. And secrets. And being wholly uncomfortable with emotions and even less comfortable admitting to them. It's a conflicted sort of laugh she gives next and she grins at him.

"I'm an ice skating instructor," she tells him. Where they'd gotten that idea was a mystery, she hadn't skated since she was a kid. But it sounded fun. Could be a lot worse, anyway.

"What the hell am I supposed to do with a job?"

"I'm a Zamboni driver." It's very much in his tone that he considers that to mean that she has lost any right to complain about her job. But it doesn't surprise him that their jobs fit together. He has come to expect that kind of coordination from this place. "I don't know what you'll do with it, but we're in Florida. It's hot. So, personally, I just never let anyone else into the ice rink and lie down on the ice eating popsicles."

It was a better way to pass the time than anything that involved actually being exposed to the Florida weather.

Hi, Francisco. [It's quite possible from the affection in her tone she could be a little fond of the name. She moves to sit up, but doesn't reach out. At least she's not taking up the whole couch, now.]

Guess it's a full house now. Surprise?

"I'm teaching kids," she counters, eyebrows raised. She's completely unsympathetic.

"As tempting as that sounds, I'll probably at least pretend to do my job for a couple days," she adds with a slow smile. Why the hell not? It's something new. She laughs, though, stands up to walk to his window, peers out at the sunshine, takes a moment to just breathe before looking back at Len.

"The sun would do you good." The current contest is to see how long she can hold that serious expression before she bursts out giggling.

[ James is heading downstairs for a good old-fashioned late morning post-sleeping-in breakfast when he hears a distinctly weird noise in the kitchen. He's more observant than people give him credit for — more cautious, too. You don't live long as a stupid supervillain. ... Not that he lived long, anyway, but that's not the point.

The point is the clicking. Like something on the linoleum that shouldn't be. So he ends up peering around the corner of a half-wall, all squinty and suspicious, only to see — a lady? A lady he doesn't recognize. Pretty. Brunette. Poised. Nice posture. Confident. Ice skates.

... Oh shit. It couldn't be. It isn't. There's no goddamn way. Except it totally is, it has to be, there's no way it isn't because that's just how the universe works these days.

It takes him half a second to wipe the just-seen-a-ghost look off his face, but his heart's pounding and his stomach's doing this awful thing as he strides into the kitchen, all smiles. Let's feel this one out. ]

[ Mick finally notices the ice skates. Well, that would have been a dead giveaway. Guess some things span universes.

He also is vaguely regretting his word choice, like a small rabbit cornered by a carnivore. ]

Not saying I'm harmless, just that my powers are. The ability to sense temperatures ain't exactly making people shake in their boots.

[ No, he doesn't know his chinchilla is named after someone. Said chinchilla is wiggling out of his arms to hop down onto the couch and seek out pettings. ]
