Fishing!
WHO: Chloe Price and Brianna
WHERE: A lake somewhere outside Nonah.
WHEN: Second week of the month
WHAT: Fishing! Attempted bonding?
WARNINGS: Well it's Chloe and Breeze so just...assume warnings of a generally bad attitudinal nature.
Chloe wasn't sure why the fishing idea had hooked her (heh) but it had. She'd gone a lot when she was a kid, before her dad had died. It had been a 'bonding' thing and she'd either loved it or hated it, depending on her mood. But she also missed it. A lot. Probably because of him. And once she thought of it, she couldn't really stop thinking about it, and...hey! She knew a kid who was about the right age to get dragged along. Whether she liked it or not, really.
God Chloe hoped Breeze actually had fun...
Anyway, all of that was why she and Breeze were stepping out of a (borrowed) car outside of a boat rental place on the edge of a decently sized lake.
"Hey Kid, grab the stuff out of the back okay? I'll go get our boat keys." It was summer, so she'd done the smart thing (surprisingly) and called ahead to rent a little boat for the day.

She zips around to the back of the car and retrieves the supplies, then returns them to Chloe. All of this happens in less than a second. Actually, Chloe might still be finishing her second sentence when Breeze is finished.
"You got it, boss." She executes a little salute as she presents the supplies.

"Good job kid. Now you get to stand there and hold everything while I get the keys."
She gave a teasing little wave as she ducked inside the building.

While she waits for Chloe, Breeze amuses herself by throwing rocks into the lake. Of course, that only keeps her entertained for a few seconds. Then she progresses to trying to skip rocks all the way across the lake, to the other shore. It's not impossible with her super speed, though it does pose a significant risk to any ducks on the water.
Hmm, maybe she could run on the water... That would be really cool.

"...Not bad, kid. Don't think the birds approve though." She said with a grin as she moved over to pick up some of what Breeze had gotten out of the car.
"Guy inside said the boat is down at the end of the dock."

"This one?" she calls, and taps her foot impatiently.
no subject
"Yeah." She said with a grin, tossing what she was carrying into it, then glancing at Breeze.
"You know you're gonna have to actually sit still for this, right kid?"
no subject
"I can do that."
Okay, well, that's debatable. But she'll at least try. (Probably.)

But then she held up a hand to ward off the automatic kid-protest. "I'm just teasin', Breeze. Relax. I know you can do this."

"When'd you learn how to fish?" she asks.
no subject
"Oh, my dad taught me when I was a kid." She said as she slowly eased the boat out onto the water. "Younger'n you. Like, seven. He called it 'bonding time.'"
She'd alternated between loving it and hating it.

"Did you cook the fish you caught? Did they taste good?"

Maybe not the most satisfying thing in the world, but so much less gross.

She's not bragging, exactly, though she is somewhat proud of herself. It's just a fact of her life back home. She's never actually been fishing before. That was Quinn's crew's job.

"But hey, if you want to volunteer for fish cleaning duty, I'm sure as shit not gonna complain. I hate doing that."
