[ When he'd made the choice to set down Hank's serum, when he'd returned from talking to himself in the future, Charles had intended to go forward with hope.
He had promised Logan he would re-open the school, look for mutants, lost and in need of guidance and help bring them all together.

Despite his promises Charles felt the weight of the task ahead threatening to overwhelm him. It twisted together with the struggles he saw in this world, threatening to morph into a dark, gnawing sense of panic. Suddenly the crowd made him feel claustrophobic, the weight of their minds pressing in on him. Clearing his throat, Charles set his hands on the wheels of his chair and sat up a little straighter, turning to look up at Tony. ]
But it gives me an idea of what we should strive for, yes? [ He pushed as much positive bravado into the words as he could and hoped the brittle note he could hear in his voice didn't carry to Stark. Charles smiled widely, attempting to use the expression as a shield. ]
However, if you'll excuse me. There was a panel I was going to try to catch, before heading back to Nonah. And I suspect you have more artwork to go admire.
