[ She's watching this exchange, calmly, from a distance not too far away. She can smell him from here; he smells like boy and bad decisions; the girl smells like fear now, fear and crying and unhappiness.

Humans are strange, unpredictable things, and this is no different. Understanding either action - the entire scenario, really - is actually beyond her capacity to care, but it doesn't actually mean she's not curious. What's going on here? Why did either party do what they decided to do?

She slides up, perfectly dressed but almost understated, for Saya. Her heels aren't quite as high, her dress not quite as sharply fashionable. She looks at the girl.
