[But his muscles start feeling the burn from the repetitive motion. It's been forever since he had to move tanks around the lab and his arms are just not up to the task of this battle.

People ARE staring and Hermann is somewhere trying to pretend he doesn't know them, if he is still here at all (he's nearby, Newt can feel him, even if he can also feel the 'you're acting like a child!!!' vibe that is both annoyed/embarrassed and fondly, begrudgingly amused)--so Newt doesn't feel bad about making a scene because one has already been made. He enjoys making a scene, for that matter.

But Joaquin is right, Newt cannot win with endurance, so he tries for another tactic he's not likely to win with either but hopes surprise is on his side: He tackles Joaquin in something like a hug around the neck, yanking him down into the balls, displacing his own glasses in the process.]
