[Tactics aren't Newt's strong suit; anyone only has to watch one of his arguments with Hermann to realize that, but opening the ballpit to Joaquin serves an actual advantage for him, he thinks...it encourages Joaquin to continue. One thing Newt did have experience with in his arguments, however, was that if the lobbing was onesided, or one had to wait their turn in order to have any ammo, the fight tended to peter out. But if they could keep going back to their shared reserve, if there was an endless supply of ammo for both, including the volley back and forth, the fight was much more rewarding.
