a. panel to panel

[Doc's certainly been to the occasional academic conference, and he's heard of science fiction conventions, but he's never seen the two merged in such a strange way. But he wants to put his best foot forward, so he's wearing a labcoat (and floral shirt) like he's here for a job interview. Well...maybe he is.

But before that, there are panels to attend! He enjoys the time travel discussion of PLEASE STOP MESSING UP THE TIMESTREAM, though of course he's reluctant to say much about his own experiences. Some time later, he's attending IN THE ARMS OF AN ANGEL and carrying adoption papers in his arms. It's been too long since he's had a loyal canine friend. BUILDING THE FUTURE WITH IMPORT TECHNOLOGY is, of course, very relevant to his job-seeking prospects. As for why the old guy's sitting in the back of PINK PRINCESS? Uh. It's for a friend.

Anyone running across Doc at any panel will find him carefully taking notes like he's attending the most important lecture of his life. Yes, even at the Pink Princess panel.]

b. imPort Hall

[His arrangement's sort of last minute, but Doc has a small table tucked in a back corner of the hall. In the center is one of his sleek blue hoverboards, adorned with a pricing sign and order form.

He also has a number of smaller items at cheaper pricepoints---house key radar, futuristic strings of light, watches both antique and modern, and as a nod to his old occupation, a hovering disco ball. That thing will haunt him forever.

Anyone who visits will get a mint and business card, along with a cheerful wave.]

See anything you like?

[c. artist alley!]

[This is where Doc finally starts to feel out of his element. Some of those pictures look like his friends. And some of them are rather suggestive. He turns over a picture of two esteemed colleagues of his and coughs.]

Is that what our abilities are capable of?

[He's suddenly very grateful that there's not much of a booming Doc fanclub.]
