[ He doesn't know how his day has ended up this way. When he started it, he had a definitive action plan in mind. He'd get Saya to help him with his mad training scheme and then he'd spend the rest of it working hard enough to empty his head. It was a definite thing.

Except now here he is, utterly bewildered as he waits on Gansey outside the shop, clutching a box to his chest and making shushing noises to the two tiny kittens inside of it. ] I know, I know. You want to stretch your legs. Soon, I promise.

[ He hears the car before he sees it, rolling his shoulders carefully as he waits for Gansey to pull up. Then he's juggling the box and struggling to get the door open. ]

Take this.

[ He hands Gansey the box so that he can move to get his bike in the trunk. Then he's slumping into the passanger seat and taking the kittens back. ] So, I can explain.

[ Gansey had been leaning out of the window to question Adam on his extra luggage. It's in his arms before he can say a word, and he's sending a confused frown after Adam - until the scampering and mewling brings his attention back to the box. Gansey looks down, to find one white kitten with stripes of ginger on its tail, climbing over another that's entirely white.

He doesn't notice the bike going into the trunk. His lips part, while the white kitten swats at the striped one, and the striped one reaches two paws towards Gansey.

When Adam finally gets in, Gansey has given the striped one his finger to chew on, and he's petting at the white one to soothe her.

He's wearing a stupid smile on his face. ]

Explain why you've adopted two children?

[ He looks up, eyebrow arching. ]

I'm beginning to think you and Ronan are conspiring against me. I hope Chainsaw doesn't hurt them.
