mathemagier: this is the letter 4 (Lecture)

[Interestingly enough, Newton's would, but Hermann is not so fortunate. His ears feel like they're waiting to pop]

Years spent working around his various eccentricities. [Working on things that require less brainpower than say, theoretical physics.]

But of course, allow me.. [Hermann plucks up the sphere he'd been working on and hands it off to Tony. It's missing some covering and fittings, but it effectively shows off the complex wiring and intricate metalwork inside.] A prototype for our oceanic depth radars. Designed for deep sea submersion with the lifetime of up to a year so far, and programmed to detect chemical pollution with even greater accuracy thanks to our preliminary tests with the shallow detectors. But Newton can tell you more about that.

[Circling around to his primary machines, Hermann gestures to the streams of code a little anxiously, scanning for signs of error message, but none are forthcoming so far] The code you've asked me to compile should be finished within the day.

[Provided no glaring errors crop up, but he's relatively certain of his programming proficiency. His chalkboards are next, and it's these he always regards with the most enthusiasm]

Mr. Xanatos was an exceptionally clever man. I regret I didn't have the chance to speak with him more, but I'm making good progress on his algorithms here. Fascinating work.

[And that only leaves.. Gipsy for his side of things. Hermann turns toward her with something of a sheepish look, and gestures to all of her vaguely with the end of his cane]

That is.. a pet project of mine. Although there does seem to be considerable interest, despite the fact she's only a model. I could build similar constructs of the other Jaegers- at least those I recall with enough clarity, but I don't know that it would be worth it..
