Oddly enough, biotics ran hot, so the chill to his hands was pronounced, but he pushed through it, thinking more that the guy had probably been out in the cold, or maybe unpacking a freezer? A thousand different conclusions, but he just grinned, politely. He understood the sentiment of his words, well enough, and Toby was already in his good graces for being so polite.
"Yeah, I understand. I'm coming up on... a year and a half, or so? Something like that. It kind of... it starts to get pretty regular, which..." he offered a soft, half-laugh. He understood how ludicrous it was, to say this, so he could only laugh at himself when he did it. Because otherwise, he'd probably think he's crazy.
"As unusual as it was showing up, you get used to it. Somehow. I never thought I'd get used to it, that it was so weird, and then... all of the sudden, I'm getting an apartment, my partner's getting a dog, and we're just...used to it all of the sudden. Weird things? Just another annoying part of life, instead of a crisis."
It was surreal. "It's kind of weird, looking back at it all, you know?"
