[Closed] | There's a starman waiting in the sky

WHO: Clark Kent & Miles Edgeworth | Superman & Miles Edgeworth
WHERE: A little cafe in Heropa | Maurtia Falls
WHEN: A while after Clark's post and the Crane reveal
WHAT:A meeting with both of Clark's personas. One for information, the other... not so much
WARNINGS: None, will add if needed

Clark honestly doesn't expect much from this meeting.

Not because he doubts Edgeworth's ability to gather information, the man has already proven himself. Everything that happens in this place makes it hard to share information but it's very clear that the prosecutor knows what he's doing when it comes to investigating, probably because of his job. But sometimes it feels like everything in this place is working to keep the information spread as thin as possible. Even when they gather some it's still not nearly enough to gather conclusions, to get a piece of the puzzle. Sometimes it isn't even enough to know where to look next, like what happened with the Hornets.

But Clark isn't one for giving up, especially when it comes to investigating. He needs the reminder that they aren't here to live so while making their lives here is important, it shouldn't be their focus. No, their focus should be figuring out this world so they can get back home. And he figured he needed to start with people who had helped him before.

So he's calmly waiting for Edgeworth as he sips on his tea. He got there early, he hadn't wanted to make the man wait when he had been the one to request the meeting.

Their second meeting is unexpected.

It shouldn't be, not after the post he made and the mess he'd ended up getting himself into when he realized he only knew Crane was taken prisoner because he'd been there. If he had known Batman had been keeping it a secret he'd have tried to soften the blow but as it was he'd basically announced he was keeping a criminal away from justice over the network. He was surprised he hadn't gotten more people to try to contact him about it after the fact, after the mess with Bruce.

So he's basically been assuming everyone had focused on Batman and Crane and kid of forgotten about his part in it. So yes, it shouldn't be surprising to have Miles approach Superman after he's stopped a mugging, and yet it is.

“Yes? Can I help you?”
