an excuse to use his one sad icon aka Hospital recovery

WHO:Glitch + you, probably just cr though
WHERE: De Chima Hospital
WHEN: A week to two weeks depending on healing after swear in
WHAT: Glitch's recovering from gassing/injuries. Fun times.
WARNINGS: Hallucination leftovers and general mopey behaviour.

[ Glitch had been rendered unconscious during his own tiny rampage of fear gassing at the swear in. For the first two days, the doctors advise against visitors due to Glitch still not having all of the drug out of his system. He lashed out at several nurses to the point they had to strap a nullifier on him so he wouldn't go attempting to electrocute them again.

Day three and onwards however? Glitch is faring better. Physically, anyways. He can have visitors now, but, during some of his episodes now he requires to have a blindfold on hand. For the off chance the hallucinations spike again. On the day of his beginning lucidity he sends out a mass text to his friends (yes, surprisingly he has those) where he is.

Entering the room, Glitch looks even skinnier than he usually does. Face sickly and sweaty and his eyes show signs of not sleeping well. He faces the window not paying much attention to his surroundings looking hollow and dead eyed. The things he saw still stick to his brain like some kind of leech, draining away at any of his energy. The things he did still are a blur to him.

Maybe talking would help. ]

[ Tachikoma appeared at the foot of Glitch's bed. ]

Hey Glitch!! Feeling better?? I brought you a 'get well soon' present!!

[ She reaches over the bedframe and plops down a ridiculous looking dinosaur plushy on his lap. ]

[Faint shouting can be heard some distance away from Glitches room. Probably not worth noting at first.

But after a few exchanges that sound gradually more heated, the commotion suddenly starts to draw closer to his room. Eventually some of the phrases will start to take shape. And a very familiar voice will be heard far above the rest of the din outside.]

-I got it, I got it! I'm not some dainty tenderfoot you have to-

[A quieter, but obviously upset response follows from another source.]

-Well screw that noise, I'm not gunna bother with that crap.

[In a matter of moments the door to Glitch's room suddenly bursts open, Cu stepping in quickly to close the door and press his back against it.

Apparently much to the chagrin of whomever had been speaking to him outside. (it was totally a doctor).

Seeing the boy, Cu smiles brightly, waving with one hand while the other
keeps the door pressed closed.]

Yo!

[ And he just jumps a bit because Tachikoma this is not how you greet someone who was suffering hallucinations. ]

Fuck, where the hell did you come from!?

[ Okay, now looking to the present, back to the girl and back to the present. ]

You...got me a gift? [ Robots are capable of that? He's just cautiously take it and rolls it in his hand. ]

[Motoko pauses at the entrance to his room, silently leaning against the door frame as she takes in his appearance. Every now and then, her emotions surprise herself. She could just as easily storm out of the building, do whatever is necessary to find Crane, and put a bullet between his eyes as step through that doorway. She suppresses that urge. For now, at least.]

Heard you could use some company.

[She'll avoid the standard 'How are you feeling?' question, because that's obvious from his appearance.]

[ Glitch's first reaction to all the noise is to roll over on his side, grab his pillow and wrap it around his head like a giant, fluffy ear mufflers. The shouts were just sounding like some kind of murderous rampage and he needs to tell himself it's just the gas. He's jut imagining it.

Then the voices are louder outside his room and he can't help his to listen. Curiosity is a bitch if you let it be...and Glitch definitely is. He tries to push the whispers of the hallucinogen down and strain his ears to hear what's really going on.

Someone's making a commotion all right. Abut what though? He's trying to listen a bit more but there's no need. The noise maker just comes on in and...wait a minute.

Glitch looks up and see's them for who they really are and his eyes widen in both surprise and confusion. To Glitch, Cu is flitting between what he normally looks like and some demented looking creature. It's enough for Glitch to begin to blur his vision so it's harder to make out.]

Y-you? What are you doing here?!

[ Not that he should be surprised? For the most part their differences have been made up...and perhaps the other stuff. ]

[ It's surprise enough for Glitch when he hears the voice at his door. He turns his head from the window to his visitor, but visibly winces when he catches sight of them. Motoko appears to him as some kind of malformed humanoid, machine and human meshed together into some gorey, Akiraesc contraption. His fingers tighten on his sheets and while he can hear her words as what they were visual reality was still taking it's time to catch up. ]

G-gimme a sec, it's a bad one today. [ His eyes are shut tight and he feels around on the bed for the blindfold he was given...

it's sadly on the floor and no where in his reach, but he's pretty desperate to shut out his vision for a bit. The longer he tries to find it the more he hates the situation. He's feeling it all over again, like in childhood. Completely helpless and useless and at the mercy of someone else's power. It makes his stomach churn and all he wants to do is run a knife through person who caused this stupid head.]

[Her own bought with the fear toxin was completely internal, and she'd finally managed to power through it. The hallucinations that others are experiencing is probably not unlike a hack, where you can't tell reality from fantasy. It has to be a terrifying experience.]

I can come back another time if you're not feeling up to it today.

[Her voice is... concerned, as apposed to her usual authoritative tone. She stays stationary in the entrance, not wanting to trigger him further by encroaching on her personal space.]

From the door! And yes!! Purchasing material goods and presenting them to others is a rather straightforward action and well within my capabilities!

[Ken is not showing up for four or five days at the least, what with his own injuries and being bedridden for the first couple. He didn't have his Evoker, which didn't really help things. But if Glitch is still here at this time, here he is, hobbling in after somehow getting wind of him being here.]

Glitch-san.

[It's easier to talk to him. He isn't one of the people he attacked.] It's me, Ken.

[There's a soft noise of someone leaning against the doorway, the rustle of a plastic bag soon after.]

You look like shit.

[It's quiet, but somewhat affectionate as Kaneda looks in at Glitch. After coming to see Gogo and Tadashi, he'd learned of just who else was in this place. And finding out Glitch had a stroke of bad luck? Well, he's just going to be the Fairy Godmother of Japanese takeout and visit everyone with a bag.

Good use of your paycheck.]

[ There's a bit of a low humming noise coming from him, side glancing to her as he squeezes the gift. There's an old part of him t hat says do not trust the robot child.

However, a robot did kind of save him Hiro's head.

He's conflicted. ]

Why? [ He's not being very specific, not that he's really thinking much on it. His brain is still addled. ]

No, no. It's fine. Not gonna let some stupid shit take away actual company. [ Being locked up in a hospital alone was getting sort of depressing, even for him. And it's not like he had much interest in television.

So, when he can't find his blindfold he decides to just tear a strip off his sheet and ties it around his eyes. He's not sorry. When it's firmly on, he turns to look in the general direction where the major was earlier. His face somewhat neutral as he gives a tiny wave. ]

So, uh, hi welcome to my prison.

[ Regardless if Ken is a kid who acts older than he should, Glitch will never not look chipper when small tiny people visit him. Or at the very least, he'll be far more friendly.

Today is a better day, blind fold not needed, but he's still not allowed up. Hearing Ken come in, just makes him turn to look to his door and smile. ]

Heeeey, Doc. Just the person I was hoping would come see me! Take a seat, keep me company.

[ Glancing about to be sure the coast is clear before he whispers: ]

Please don't leave it's fucking boring here.

[ Wow, that's rude, Kaneda.

There's an arc of his brow at the sudden bluntness, but Glitch just laughs a bit. ]

Thanks, man. You look pretty shitty yourself. [ Said with the most sarcastic but lighthearted tones one could muster after fearaplaooza. However, Glitch catches sight of outside food and his eyes widen. Slowly pointing to it like it's some kind of gift from the heavens now. ]

Is that...real food?

Well, that's a pretty dumb question.

[When the pounding starts on the other side of the door, Cu lets out a harsh sigh and turns to it. One hand holding the nob so it can't be opened, he quickly draws with his finger several glowing runes on his side of the door.

After finishing a set of six in a hexogonal pattern, there's a brief hum of energy while the door suddenly glows a warm orange, then silence. His barrier fiel blocking any noise from coming through.]

There, that should do it.

[Turning, he spots a chair and swings it over to besides Glitch's bed with the back facing foward, his leather jacket murmuring with his movements.]

But one of my own gets taken down in a coward's attack, how would I NOT come see him?

[Plopping down in the seat, one leg on either side and leaning on the back.]

[He splashes a smile across his face, glad that it got a laugh out of him at the very least.]

That's what happens when you're beaten to hell and back. Still can't stop me from staying out of bed, though.

[But at the finger point, he holds it up, almost teasingly.] What, this?

Well...~ It was for some poor asshole stuck in this hellhole. But I can't seem to find him.

Jesus, what kind of shit are you taking if you took that kind of beating and still can move around? I took the same fucking trip and well, the results.

[ Gestruing to the lovely, sterile bed he's in. It can be yours too if you were as unlucky as Glitch.

Kaneda is getting a squinty eyed look, hands may be moving to pillows to throw if the teasing keeps up.]

So, instead you're gonna share it with your new best friend, right?

[She smiles slightly--not that Glitch can see it--and enters the room, taking a seat next to the bed.]

I brought you a magazine. I'm not sure if you'll like it, but maybe it'll take your mind off things for a while.

[It's a science magazine about recent advances in space exploration and theoretical journeys to other planets. Only a cold war-era America could be so gung-ho about the space race. She places it on the bedside table next to Glitch and leans back in her chair.]

Because you are in the hospital after an injury, a combination of events that is highly likely to result in a diminished emotional state, for which displays of affection have been proven to be an effective deterrent!!

I'm too stubborn, Glitch. One of my issues.

[And five healers. It helps knowing a shit ton of people that can buffer the blows.

He sees those hands moving, sauntering in and putting the bag on the little table in front of him.]

Well, if he shows up you might have to fight him for it, but I don't see why not, yeah?

[Now he'll just...grab a chair and collapse into it. Even with the healing, he still gets worn down easily.]

Haha. Hospitals aren't meant to be fun, Glitch-san.

[Ken looks him over, trying to figure out how injured he was. Ken himself is... well, most of the mess is hidden by his clothes. There's a bruise on his cheek, another, fainter one on his forehead half-hidden by his hair. He's pasted a large band-aid over a cut on his cheek and, should Glitch take a closer look, there are red marks and bruises on the back of his neck disappearing under his collar. His hands and legs have marks of healing cuts on them, too. This is still after he was mostly healed.]

How are you feeling?

Okay, I get that, but why are you? We're not even friends.

[ He's holding off on how he likes this thing first. ]

Not from lack of trying!!!

Yeah, but, why still? You know I don't like robots.

[ Or...sort of use to not like them.

Opinions are slowly changing. But, he's not gonna admit it. ]

[ He's not sure what Cu just did but it looks magicky and now there's some glowing orange light and silence. Glitch stares for a long moment before he looks back to Cu. ]

I'm not sure you're allowed to do that. [ but it's more of a statement than an objection. He honestly doesn't care, Cu's made it pretty much known they're not gonna trying murdering him. Turning to look at Cu as he sits down he frowns a bit. ]

I suppose so? Still, weird since I just only just a little while ago...and then there's the other stuff that happened before.
