It's odd. It's curious, to be enlightened to these things about Minato in this way. It's strange, being talked to as if Minato needed them, to think that anybody in SEES might've needed each other. It's an odd feeling to be shown this side of their invincible leader, to see beyond what the others told him about him. He realizes, absently, that he might be hearing about a side of Minato that nobody, at least not whilst in Iwatodai, knew about.

He can't find it in himself to have faith in those words being true. He tells himself not to be impatient; of the few things the counselor told him before he walked out, 'it takes time' was one of the things he remembers. Generic and unhelpful at the time, he disregarded it, but he clings to those words now so that he doesn't end up at the station again. It takes time. Someday. If he can stick around long enough to see the future.
