In our darkness we conjured up sunlight [OPEN option]

WHO: Clark Kent / Superman & various (with OPEN option!)
WHERE: All over the place
WHEN: Before, during and after the Flare plot
WHAT: Superman is, as promised, running around ragged during the plot to try to get everyone somewhere safe. And then he has some things to take care of…
WARNINGS: N/A will add if needed

Open; During the flare plot
It’s kind of hard to know what to do in this kind of situations. On one hand he’s sure he can’t get infected since the virus is human in nature, and to date he’s never got sick as long he has his powers. On the other hand, even if he really can’t get sick (and it drives him crazy that he doesn’t have any way to be sure) he could still be carrying the virus on his person.

The best he can do is made daily trips as high up as he can get without getting in trouble to bathe in sunshine. The ideal would be to get near the sun to burn it off but he’d have to ask permission to get to outer space and considering his little impromptu trip with Hal and the consequences it had who knows how long that could take.

One he’s done, he can be seen… kind of everywhere. He will answer to any calls for his name as promised, try to build some sort of shelter for those that are sick but not past the Gone, try to carry those who are immune or haven’t been in contact with the virus… if someone is need, it’s very likely he’ll swoop down and try to help no matter where or when. It’s probably why he looks like he hasn’t slept in days, even though he technically doesn’t even need to.

So Kon confirmed what Clark had already thought: Rikki was suspicious. He didn’t blame her, really- he was actually pretty pleased to see that she was smart to see the clues when they were trust into her lap so easily. There were only too many similarities and powers one could take because they get suspicious and he was pretty sure the only reason she hadn’t been pushing it was that Clark’s handy ‘blind spot’ power probably made it harder for her to connect the dots.

But it wasn’t fair to her to pretend he hadn’t noticed she had questions. Just like it wasn’t fair to pretend he hadn’t noticed her little… outburst at Peter’s post. It wasn’t a big deal, he knew, but still he had to check.

So one day after work, he decided to knock on her door as he let out a sigh.

And yet another person Kal had been avoiding for far too long.

Which was pretty ridiculous all things considered. He should have avoided him before, when there was a very real possibility the kid was another world’s version of a certain general. Kal might owe the general his very own life but that didn’t make him automatically trust the man. or the kid. But now that he actually knew the kid had been given that name to honor the general he should have tried to talk to him. There weren’t many Kryptonians left and they should stick together- or at least, know of each other’s existence. And he was probably wondering about Powergirl’s little outburst.

The virus from Thomas’s world had been a very convenient excuse to postpone the meeting, but now that the crisis had (thankfully) ended he’d really ran out of reasons. And he really didn’t want to keep avoiding the kid, he just… wasn’t really sure how to broach the subject. So he sent him a text as Superman asking for him to meet him at a park near the kid’s house, and waited for him sitting on a nearby bench.

It felt pretty ridiculous to be sitting around like that and the occasional glares from the locals made clear that flaunting that he was an imPort was pretty rude, but what other options did he have?

Closed to NISHI; before the flare plot
This really wasn’t what he had signed up for. And it wasn’t that he didn’t like the idea of helping someone get on the good side of the law, maybe even inspire them… but he hadn’t taken into account that the supposed criminal might not be receptive to his help- or even want it to being with.

Which was apparently the case with Joichiro. Clark had expected it’d be hard work the moment he’d been told he would be working with a teenager, but he had been optimistic (as he always is). He’d been expecting some teenager rebellion and he had gotten ready to give some stern talks but it soon became very clear Nishi just didn’t care at all. And Clark might have a good attitude and eagerness to help but he really wasn’t equipped to deal with this kind of situation. But that definitely didn’t stop him from trying.

“I’d ask if you know what time it is, but I’m pretty sure I wouldn’t like the answer.” He’d appeared from a random corner after it’d become clear Nishi was totally going to skip curfew. And yes, he had resorted to using his superpowers to keep an eye on the kid but desperate times call for desperate measures. “I don’t think your house is this way.”
