[Crane's happy to throw an issue onto the table, if one isn't picked. Not caring at all about his patients - and only the subject - makes him capable of doing some ruthless things. But in a way his mode of care is at least honest - he hasn't lied about the fact he's fascinated by the human mind. He just lets people assume the best of him and lies by omission.
