extirpations: seriously what is this face (flirting with Miles)

A

[Like most of these events the festival itself is only of minimal interest to Kimblee. He goes for the chance to see other imPorts, to watch the people who show up and see if anyone catches his eye. And these events often end with fireworks which even he can enjoy the spectacle of.

This time he decides to stop by later in the evening, some personal business keeping him occupied till well after 6pm. When he does arrive it seems there's something slightly odd about the crowd - there are more children than normally present at these imPort events, or that's how it feels.

He doesn't usually have time for children - they're too noisy, annoying and messy for him - but he finds his attention drawn back to a young girl sitting on a bench, nursing her dog. Something about her is familiar though it's hard to place from where. Unfortunately there's no sign of her parents or guardians around for him to talk to so eventually, reluctantly, Kimblee approaches her.]

Do excuse me young miss but are you here alone?

[Smiling politely and hoping she doesn't start crying about being lost. The last thing he wants is to be stuck with some sobbing child. Ugh.]
