He's always had an affinity for insects, wrote the standard on how to tell time of death using their activity, and finds it relaxing and enjoyable to stand in running water under a hot sun catching fish. Ken's file had its horrors, true, but he'll have to actually work towards something unique and terrible to earn disgust.
Of course, he's unaware of how that reminds Ken of Tsukiyama, and is unaware of who the hell Tsukiyama actually is.
