"I wouldn't have asked if now wasn't fine," he said good-humoredly, digging through his bag. After a moment, he produced a small box, flat and rectangular, that he hadn't bothered to wrap. The box was concealing enough in itself, right? As he passed it forward to her, his pro-quipping attitude seemed to have been replaced by a sudden self-consciousness. He'd decided on combining a nice gesture with symbolism and, in that sense, the gift was something of a loaded one.

It started off simply enough. The box contained a simple chain and pendant, displaying a small depiction of a crocus. He tried not to watch her open it too closely, continuing to shift idly through his pack. It was probably self-explanatory, but in order to help provide a lead-up... "I thought, you know, since crocuses are part of Arendelle's sigil, and that's... Well, I guess it's basically a symbol for your family, right? And it was pretty."

The tougher part, though... He handed her another box, smaller, lips pressed together in nerves but trying to quirk into an easy smile. "And this is just... If you want, it'll fit on the chain, too."

The second box contained a pendant shaped like an antler, which was the closest thing Kristoff could figure to a simple symbol that could represent him, having never had a family sigil or anything like that. That one, he'd rather wait for a reaction to, rather than trying to sputter out an explanation. As anticlimactic as it might be, it was both an attempt at a confession and a question. To say he liked Anna was an understatement, though he was a little frightened of finding the correct words, and... Well. If she felt similarly, he was of the opinion that they ought to start doing something about it. That, and Karen had warned him that she might lose interest if he failed to act completely.

So. There you go. Action. For his part, Kristoff was still avoiding looking too closely at her, instead watching Sven's hooves as the deer shuffled, both awaiting either approval or denial.
