Perhaps "until Hisoka gets what he wants or loses interest and flits off like a magpie" would have been a better way of framing it. Of course, he's yet to encounter either extreme as yet, despite being aware that both are possibilities.
Chrollo nearly laughs at the way Hisoka lies back - all those carefully situated playing cards falling to pieces in just an instant. It seems almost poetic - Hisoka's mental state and card palace both disrupted. It's still strange, too, seeing Hisoka so frayed. All people have their weaknesses, and all people break when pushed to their limits.... although Feitan would know the intricacies of that better than Chrollo. Even still.
Chrollo files this mental image away for future reference... but on the outside, he's all mild frowns and gentle stares.
"The tenth..." About what he'd figured. Honestly, what timing. Well, he's sure Hisoka can hold it together until then. He's done it so far, after all. Mostly. "Ahh, so close!" He smiles wide, "I'm glad you're looking forward to it. You weren't built for cages."
Really, no one was.
Chrollo looks over the scenery of that cell again - wonders if Hisoka will bother putting his palace back together before he departs.
"...well, anyway. I haven't seen anyone that we know from home just yet. Excepting those two boys, but I assume you know about them." He could demand information in return, a tit-for-tat. But why not begin with a showing of good faith? The questions are simple enough, after all. "As for me..." Reading. Sipping tea. Reading. Meditating. Practicing his physical skills. Reading. Sleeping. Reading...
He smiles, vaguely. Cold. "I was waiting for you."
