"I know you meant me," a glance up. "You're not the type of man to look down on yourself, infact, I'd say you think very highly of yourself, what you can do, and what you believe in." The way he presents himself, how he dresses, confidence in himself could easily be from confidence in what he can do- and just knowing he's/was a judge. It all points to a man that views himself highly, he should know. He acts relatively the same.
"Oh are you showing concern now?" Keeping his smile, opening the deck of cards. It's taking his attention, no longer glancing up to the other man.
The top slides open and he carefully removes all the cards from the box, even going so far as to pocket the box instead of merely drop it. With that, his fingers begin to thumb through the cards, taking every face in one by one.
"Get a job I can stand, a different wardrobe, getting myself more familiar with laws and my rights. Maybe some history, hm, why?" Glances up finally, picking up the five of diamonds and lifting it up, waving it back and forth a little with the skull facing the glass.
"Did you plan on helping me? Or were you curious?"
