purgation: the hipster's revival of lord of the rings (bongos. bongos in the deep.)

"Is that so? Well, I put a little more thought into the reason behind my visit. I hope you don't mind."

As for his smile...the answer is no. People never tell Russians they should be in pictures because they're bloody awful at smiling. Or rather, the reasons they smile are so vastly different from that of your average person. It's an expression that...says so much and so little, depending upon the circumstance, subtle quirks that may or may not be present, eye contact or no. All those little details. Yuri's? Most often they speak of a guarded politeness, resemble what is often referred to as a servant's smile, but that's not surprising given his position as a public servant of sorts.

As for Hisoka's smile...that prompts slightly raised eyebrows, but overall not much change in expression. There's a dangerous edge to it, to the way Hisoka's lips curve, the way his eyes narrow, but Yuri doesn't feel threatened. Because of the glass between them? Perhaps. But it has significantly more to do with the strength of his resolve. Fear is a thing that gets in the way. It's unnecessary.

"It doesn't take much, I see." Yuri sighs. Sounds disappointed, but says... "That's...reassuring."
