There's entertainment to be had, at least. He distracts himself by placing a bid or two (why not make it a bidding war, he doesn't spend money on much else and a sword-fighter could come in handy to know) but overall he tries not to be exceptionally noticeable. Difficult to an extent when one is a one-legged man in a wheelchair, yet at the same time, often people just let their eyes and attentions pass over him.
He parks himself at some point near the tree, just far enough away that the tree will draw away most attention from him, and drinks a coffee. He feels still, though his hands tremor very slightly now and then unconsciously and his eyes move around as if trying to observe everything -- his leg, of course, never moves at all. ]
