THOMAS (apocalyptic chihuahua and social disaster) ([personal profile] shuckit) wrote in [community profile] maskormenacelogs2014-11-21 12:07 am

[OPEN] boy named troy used to live in detroit

WHO: Thomas and yoooou
WHERE: Xavier's School, around Heropa, in residence 001
WHEN: 11/21
WHAT: Thomas and Stiles plotted to have Thomas dress up and pretend to be Stiles for a school day at Xavier's, so he can go poke around the school and see if he wants to sign up to attend. And also, Stiles gets a vacation day. Good man.
WARNINGS: Thomas being dumb as hell. Really bad acting.

A; BUT HOW DO I HAIR????

[ the first problem thomas runs into - the fact stiles' hair defies gravity. and not just in a 'it just sticks straight up, the end' sort of way, in a way that actually seems purposefully styled. or purposefully dissheveled. thomas isn't really sure, but he's having a difficult as hell time trying to make his hair look right, with the gel that stiles had let him borrow. the first attempt is failed, having used entirely too much goop, and he has to wash his hair out again, borrow one of the girls' hair dryers, and start over. in the bathroom in residence 001, you'll see him looking pretty aggitated as he just... scrunches fingers in his hair and... tugs it upward. seriously, screw this.

you may also see him around the city, on his way to or from Xavier's, stopping in a shop window to examine his head with a disgruntled look on his face. he doesn't like it like this. it feels weird. his face is too exposed, his head is too tall. and crunchy. and stupid. give him a hand? ]

B; SCHOOL TIME

[ he's successfully made it into the school, and gotten passed waving and smiling to a few people who shot a 'hi, stiles!' at him as he passed through the halls. granted, he didn't stop to chat, pretending like he'd been in a hurry to get to a meeting or class or something, because like hell he can actually act like stiles in conversation. he's so completely different from thomas himself that someone who barely knew the both of them could tell. that, and, he has no idea who those people are, or what stiles' relationship with them is.

once he's in class, he tries to find a seat somewhere near the middle, in a crowd, where he's not so noticable, and pays rapt attention. maybe that's accurate to who stiles is, maybe it isn't, but thomas is here to evaluate whether or not he wants to attend this school... as himself. for a while, it's going well, and he's mostly ignored, at least, until he's called on for an answer. well, 'stiles' is called on, and thomas only sits blinking for a moment, forgetting he's supposed to be responding to that name until the girl sitting behind him pokes him in the back with a pencil. right, okay, awesome. he gives the answer, short and concise and straight forward, and it's the heads that turn towards him after, and the awkward beat of silence that tells him he did it wrong. so, he starts to ramble some. tries for vaguely stiles-ish rambling and has no idea if he's actually coming off right. either way, there's some eyerolls and the attention is off of him again. spectacular.

the rest of the day goes mostly the same, not terrible, but definitely dotted with awkward moments of Trying To Be Stiles. he spends a large amount of time trying to avoid Emma Frost, the telepath he'd been told about, who's in charge of the school and doesn't have any issue with digging into peoples' heads with no warning, from what Jesse had told him. the second she picks up on thomas, it'll be obvious what's going on. he'd much like to learn from her, later, given he's been sort of flailing with his own telepathy but... now is not a great time for that to happen. at all. ]

C; CHOOSE YOUR OWN ADVENTURE
