Oh, I bet you thought that I was soft and sweet, you thought an angel swept you off your feet...
WHO: Freddie Lounds and Lunatic
WHERE: Around Heropa
WHEN: October 13, Mid-morning
WHAT: Freddie Lounds gets the inside scoop...
WARNINGS: Probably not?
Lunatic had agreed to his share of interviews (while others had been sprung upon him without warning) but he could honestly say that he didn't know what to expect of an interview given by Freddie Lounds.
Would she keep her word and refrain from telling warped truths and lies about him? Somehow...he doubted it. But then, in his case, it was entirely possible that the truth would sell more than her fiction would. Regardless, the timing couldn't have been more perfect. A common misconception about the sort of justice he doled out was that he enjoyed any part of it. What better way to inform the masses that they had some control over what happened to them? They needed only not to sin, to be repentant and show remorse for the crimes they had committed. It was that simple.
Having been following Freddie most of the morning, Lunatic finally announced himself near a small strip mall where the woman had wound up shortly after ten o'clock. The way he chose to announce himself, however...
Well, he wouldn't have been the least bit surprised if Freddie didn't like it. But he never stopped to ask what she thought, either. He was quick to grab her, cloaked arms tight around her waist, pinning her arms against her sides, and even quicker to lift off the ground with a burst of fire from the soles of his boots, putting a significant amount of distance between them and the pavement right away.
The only thing spoken was an oh-so-polite warning:
"Try not to squirm. I'd hate to drop you!"
