Taking the napkin, Dorian politely wiped the rest of the sugar off of his mouth, before spreading the napkin out on his lap. If Yuri was going to give him a stare like that, fine. He could behave himself for now...for a little bit...until he got bored.

"The problem with pursuing art is that you need supplies. And in order to get supplies, you need money." And in order to get money, you needed a job. It was a vicious cycle that Dorian had found himself smack-dab in the middle of. Of course, he had enough money to help get himself started--he had bought a canvas and bought some paints, but if he wanted to make a career out of this, he needed more supplies, more connections, and more opportunities. After all, while Dorian planned to coast on his status as an imPort, an ex-con and as Dorian Gray somewhat, he couldn't entirely rely on all three of those.

"Of course, inspiration is always another problem." Turning towards Yuri, he smiled. "Care to sit for a portrait painting?" It was said half-jokingly but half seriously. Why not? Yuri was attractive, he was somebody Dorian knew, and a portrait painting meant that he got to spend more time with Yuri. That was what mattered in the end, right?
