1. Butterfingers

One of the guests, dressed as a sci-fi classic was a little less worried about the 'helpful' bot minding the buffet. Mostly because how could a technopath really be scare of even the limited consciousness of something like Butterfingers? Especially when he had enough reflexes to duck whenever the thing started to get clumsy.

Of course him ducking the arm as it turned too fast didn't mean the person behind him would have.

"He didn't mean it," he says to whoever the machine bumped, his hand coming up to stroke the thing's main brace. "Butterfingers just likes to help."

He knows it, can see it right down in the code with every touch.

2. Monster Mash

The best part of any party is the mingling, right? And there is so much to do outside, because if there was one thing that Stark knew how to do, it was how to throw a party. David found himself moving amid people, pausing ot address questions on their costumes, and laughing over the fact that Tony had managed that. His own costume ends up with the question what is the worst job you've ever had for those who need to ask him something, or offer their own experience.

Of course to ask questions one has to get around the fact that David is spending time dancing, trying to bask in the rush of the holiday buzz. After all, his birthday was recently, and he hadn't been willing to have that as a big thing. This? This was his celebration.

"Hey, wanna dance?"

3. In The Cards

It wasn't like he wanted to go to get his fortune told. But it happened, and David kept the words he'd heard to himself. But the card? That was a weird one. When he picked it up for a half a moment it was a totally normal Wheel of Fortune. The next it flashes through two other images that he doesn't have time to parse out before he's moving on, card in his pocket. He has no idea that all of a sudden he was glowing faintly, radiating out a positive aura that would extend to others around him.

He moved with purpose through the party now, looking for people he suddenly felt he needed to talk to. Not that he wouldn't stop to speak to others with a warm smile, saying with absolute confidence and positivity, like he's confessing something.

"Your costume is awesome."

As for people he knows, they will definitely find him moving up to them.

"I need to tell you something."
