If the darkness condensing itself into the form of Ronan's lover recognises the nature of the trap, it makes no effort to escape. The shape Ronan traces with his hands is the only one it wants to adopt— and so it does, steadily developing features as Ronan remembers them. Kylo, Ronan's chosen one, here in his dream where anything is possible.

"I am yours," he says— and not simply because Ronan wants him to. He's here, senses stretched through Ronan's thoughts to inhabit this vessel Ronan builds for him.

He doesn't have to shrink or deform at all to fit inside the fantasy of a Kylo Ren who would grant Ronan's wish: it's his own.
