I. Ice cream festival / Nonah / Arrival / video
[Lan Wangji is not in Cloud Recess anymore. He woke up in strange unfamiliar territory with its strange people in a strange land with a strange language and culture that normally a stony, stoic man, he has been in culture shock for the last few hours.
He finds himself assigned to be housed in Nonah. It's a loud, busy city. He discovered the city is having a National Hot Fudge Sundae Day festival. The streets with it's market and it's vendors are selling stuffed ice cream cone dolls, fudge bottle body pillows, and ice cream shirts. With so many different flavors to choose from at the ice cream parlor, he explores the city, taking a stroll through what seems like a carnival with it's foods and games, with variety of prizes on display.
The video plays a man with a cool expression, a piercing gaze full of intensity and determination. There's a headband wrapped around his head with a silver cloud motif, his hair pulled back with a hair ornament and pin, and he wears a snow-white robe, a fashion from an era of an ancient time.]

II. Bake sale / Jeopardy / Arrival / video
[He arrived in the city to be greeted by an annual cookie sale. He bought a few boxes of baked goods from cookies, brownies, pies, and cakes. Not a man of sweet tooth, but he thinks it's a suitable gift. Perhaps he bought more to hand out to the kids who are crowding around him, and besides wanting a photograph or asking him questions as to where he is from. Alas, communication seems to be one way since he is quite wordless when handing out the baked confections, and he speaks in Mandarin.
Later in the evening, he turns on the video, the video plays and recording of showing him in sitting, drinking a cup of tea to go with the sweets eaten out of the box, snacking on what seems to be a crisp, thin cookie. Laid on his lap, he is playing on a zither string instrument, the guqin. His long fingers plucked each string and each note played meticulously, deep and grave, but with diligence and care that each note is played in harmony.]
The spirits told me I am in Jeopardy.
[Lan Wangji is a man of few words and is straight to the point. In the meanwhile, he surrounded by fans who is taking pictures of him with their cameras, hoping to capture his handsomeness, his celestial-like appearance, with plushies of him and members of his family created in the same likeness.]
