[OPEN] Feywild & more
WHO: Adam Young, Dog, and YOU
WHERE: All over
WHEN: First half of May
WHAT: Why, strange things are going on again, of course! Wild magic is hitting everyone, including Adam and his pets. He just kind of rolls with it. What else are you going to do?
WARNINGS: No animals were harmed during these events. Adam made sure of it.
[De Chima] Just a little off
Well, this is a thing, as are all things. Could have been worse, not that the boy really appreciates any changes that suddenly happen to imports, or anyone, really. And the change he was hit with today comes with some unfortunate associations with the strangest reality changing event that has hit the world in the last few months, but he's trying not to think too much about that.
Some people might easily recognize him - not just by the familiar features that are there regardless, of course, but because Adam has grown to about the same age and size as he was last seen in that one alternate world, complete with a mess of dark blonde curls on his head.
And, following behind him, collared and leashed and looking mighty unhappy, is a black and white cat, which some might find strangely familiar...
[Nonah, park] Sparkledog
A lovely spring day in the park. That is, well, if the seemingly unending swath of magical effects plaging the world doesn't bother you. A quick daily look through the network tells him that things don't seem to be anywhere near going back to normal (wherever that line might be at this point). Most noticeably, people's ages seem to be fluctuating. Fortunately, Adam seems to have settled back into his accurate 11-year-old-boy size.
However, there's something else that's a little...off. Or quite off. The boy's colors - all of his colors - seem to change through the day. Sometimes, it's the colors of his eyes. Sometimes, his hair. His clothes. Everything. Right now, his body seems to have settled into inhumanly red eyes and a blue-ish tint to his hair, which really do not match at all.
Dog, however, seems to be having a bit more trouble. The canine, in fact, changes colors much more rapidly, every few minutes taking another step through the color spectrum. And if you look closely, you can definitely see some--sparkling? Why, yes - as the animal moves, his fur definitely sparkles in the sunlight. And you can even see some of it trailing behind him as he chases some pigeons around...
[Nonah, Strike a Paws pet shop] Well that's just not supposed to happen
Chaos strikes this small pet shop & dog training service in downtown Nonah, specifically as the pets brought in for grooming and training for the day suddenly gain the power of flight. From puppies to older dogs, small to big, the animals are loud, nervous, and, well, in flight all across the shop, mostly really unable to control their trajectories, which is resulting in some harmless bumping and rather angry growling and barking.
Adam can barely get one of them down before two of them start flying far too close to each other and seem to find this most offensive. One of the big ones has chewed through one of the bags of dog food. The chihuahuas are trying to pick a fight with Dog.
This is a mess. He could really use some help, but the adult workers in the shop seem even more clueless on what to do.
[De Chima woods] Feed me Seymour
If you already live in or pass through the areas outside central De Chima, then you're probably mostly aware of how they look. The roads, the houses, the woods nearby. You're probably used to it. Or maybe you're not. But you certainly don't think the grass should be that overgrown, certainly not at waist length, when everything else seems so normal. And it probably should be that way in such a specific line into the trees. And the trees themselves, just above that strnge overgrown grass, seem to have, in a way, exploded with growth. Just that handful of them.
This patch seems to go deeper into the woods, an area darker than the immediate spots on either side of it. Just seems like something has made those plants grow a lot more and faster than their surrounding compatriots. Surely, that's not how plant life works...right?

What did you need? [ Adam asks casually over the barks, panicking employees, and a bunch of somethings being knocked off a shelf nearby. ]
no subject
[Penelope responds by grabbing a squeaky toy off of a shelf, squeaking it a few times, before flying off, glancing back to see if the dog would chase.]
I'll also be getting that squeaky toy, apparently.
no subject
Sure. I think we still have some...
[ The picture of perfect calm, Adam steps out into the next aisle over, dodging some dogs and the things they knock off of the shelves, looking along the large bags of dog food. ]
What is she, anyway?
no subject
I don't know. Maybe older me knows? I just know that she follows me around and is happy to see me, and people told me I'm usually older here, so I figure she's probably my pet.
[If not...well, she certainly is now.]

[ Adam stops to look back at him, and it really doesn't take him long at all to know what he means, considering how badly everyone's being affected. ]
Did you get changed too?
no subject
[He pulls out the wallet he'd grabbed from his room, pulling out his ID, showing his fully adult self.]
See?
no subject
I know you.
You really don't remember anything?

[ Suddenly, there's a loud sound of many somethings falling off a shelf, angry barking dogs, and flustered employees, all coming from a different aisle. ]
Maybe lets get that dog food.

[Anton follows Adam, and soon he spots it. There are a few bags on the ground, but it's definitely the same picture he saw on the bag at home.]
There it is!
[He picks up the bag.]
I'll bring this up front, and then I'll...uh...check on how things are going and if she's ready to settle down yet.
no subject
I don't think anyone's at the front right now.
no subject
[Apparently, since when he glances over he notices she's in a mid-air game of tug-of-war with a golden retriever.]
no subject
She's pretty cool.
