Alexander wouldn't be surprised if Jane didn't recognize him straight off, as she's probably only seen him as a reptiloid (peeling and not-peeling), unless she happened to notice him talking on the network to someone else recently, since fully changing back to his human self (god knows for how long). She'll probably certainly recognize his voice though, which is rather distinctive.
