WHO: Darin and Xellos
WHERE: Somewhere out on the open ocean
WHEN: About two weeks ago TIME IS AN ILLUSION
WHAT: Darin's quest of self-discovery is interrupted by a stowaway
[He'd been sailing for a couple of weeks now, and while the liberation of the open ocean was certainly freeing, the fact that he was on this journey alone was staring to get to him. He'd grown too accustomed to people. A few years ago, this would have been easy. But now? All of the bonds and the attachments he'd formed, all of the kinship and bridges he'd somehow built up were making this trip much harder than he'd anticipated.]
[When he embarked on his journey, he headed south, following the coastline. After a few weeks, he'd felt comfortable enough to leave the coastline beyond the horizon and here he was, somewhere in the middle of the Gulf of Mexico, with nothing but open water on all sides. He figured he was far enough away from civilization that maybe he could start doing what he'd set out to do in the first place.]
[After dropping anchor and setting out a net to catch fish, he took up a meditative position on the deck of the Far Off Promise, crossed his legs, closed his eyes and began concentrating. He wasn't sure if anything was going to come of this but...it was worth a try.]
[He was going to try talking to Diomuhr.]
