[CLOSED] And the moon kept on rising
WHO: Shiro & Keith [CLOSED]
WHERE: Out in the woods, far south enough that they won't freeze
WHEN: Valentine's Day
WHAT: Romantic dates in the woods
WARNINGS: Some chance this will veer off into rated M for Mature territory
The fire is burning, low but warm. They'll need to add wood to it soon to keep it burning, but for the moment it will hold. Dinner has been made and eaten and set aside, and night has fallen securely around them. They'd hiked out to this site earlier in the day, away from the rest of the world. The reward of that is the stars that are currently appearing in the night sky are bright and have no nearby man-made light to compete with.
It's not the same as being in space, but the constellations are familiar and the sky is clear and gorgeous. Kosmo has curled up near the fire, a sleepy and content cosmic wolf who is twitching a bit in his dreams of chasing various alien fauna through a field.
Keith removes the small coffee pot from the fire, pouring out two cups of coffee. He makes his way over towards Shiro, holding one out towards the other man. He steps even closer then, urging Shiro's legs apart so he can settle between them, leaning back into his boyfriend's chest. There. Comfy. Blankets are piled nearby, but for now Keith is content with the fire and Shiro's warm presence behind him.
"Happy Valentine's Day," Keith peeks back over his shoulder at Shiro with a smile. It's not the traditional dinner and wine and low music, but it's very much them, and they're together, relaxing. It's good.
Better than good. There's nowhere else Keith would want to be in this moment.
