Here or there
WHO: Sophie Amundsen and YOU (specially if you happen to be at the Barns)
WHERE: The Barns, somewhere else? If you want.
WHEN: February!
WHAT: Sophie goes to visit Ronan, sort of decides she likes it there.
WARNINGS: n/a will update as needed
I. Getting there is half the fight
[ In order to get to Ronan, Sophie spent a lot of time preparing, by which it meant checking maps and roads and all kinds of stuff, so that she wouldn't get lost halfway.
And then she discovered Google Maps, and everything turned out to be a lot easier than she had expected. Faster too, but by then January was ending and she decided it would be best to go visit him on the next month. Some irrational idea that it wouldn't be polite to drop at the end of the month, somehow.
But with Google Maps... well, it was really easy! And fast! And actually kinda cheap! Still, it was something of an experience to get on a bus and go somewhere else, because while Sophie was all for adventure, this wasn't how she had pictured her first visit to the States.
A couple of buses later though, realization dawns on her. She's here, like actually here.
Getting to the actual Barns was still a bit of a walk, mainly because Sophie doesn't want to accidentally miss it from a bus. Still, it's a nice day to walk, and soon enough she sees the house on the distance, getting bigger and bigger as she gets closer.
Eventually, she reaches the door, but instead of knocking she just... stands there. This is fine, right?
Maybe she'll wait to see if someone comes out. Eventually. ]
II. A little nice and quiet
[ After the inevitable conversation that happens between Sophie and Ronan, she can be found lazing around. Ronan certainly likes his green areas, and Sophie is quick to find a really nice, warm expanse of grass to lie down and take a deep breath. While she wouldn't call herself a nature lover, Sophie feels very much connected to this place, and the quiet that comes with it.
So nice and quiet that she starts to nod off, indeed. Maybe she just needs a little nap, right? It should be fine. It's not like she needs to be somewhere else, or do anything else for the moment. What Sophie hasn't considered is that the nice grass might already be someone else's spot, or that it will undoubtedly attract the attention of others looking for some nice and quiet.
Well, they will just have to wake her up. ]
III. Writing it out
[ When you have the power to write anything you wish into existence (or at least Sophie hasn't found her limits yet), one would think that naturally, you would be writing things nonstop. For Sophie, however, it was actually a struggle to figure out what she wanted. She has no immediate need for material things (and she'd rather actually buy the likes of a phone or a laptop, since she wants to learn how they work). Money? It feels useless to her. Weapons? What for, since she's not a hero in any sense of the word.
What she wants to create is a dog, but Sophie knows that it would just be based on the one dog she misses. Still, it's a good thing that Hermes isn't here, but creating a Hermes-like-dog feels like cheating. ]
Maybe... a cat?
[ Sophie is by the house's entrance, sat down with a big book on her lap and a pen on her mouth, absentmindedly tapping the empty sheet in front of her. Whatever might she be doing? ]
IV. Wildcard
[ Find Sophie wherever and whenever, be it in the Barns or any of the cities. I'm open to most things, so feel free to pm me at
