Dog watches his master. There really wasn't much the hellhound could have done. He hops up to set his front paws on Adam's leg, resting his little fuzzy head on the boy's lap and whining faintly. Adam glances down at him, reaching to scratch his ear.

"Of course not." He never would have, so much she's right about. "He started saying he'd let people go if I did. Then that he was going to capture me, and..." Adam pulls a face, a faint bubbling anger still present beneath the surface.
