Adam, specially having spent more time with Aziraphale and Crowley, and after facing the archangel directly that one day at the airbase, didn't really look too kindly on Gabriel. But it wasn't just the boy's fault - the archangel almost always managed to bring up the issue of the End That Wasn't, which, understandably, Adam was quite fed up with. But he'd began to tolerate Gabriel. They actually had conversations that were almost next to pleasant.
Obviously, though, that wasn't the case in that other world.
"I told him that. But he wouldn't listen." Of course he didn't. He never did. That wasn't any different. "But then he got on about the stuff we did to stop him and the rest of his lot from getting to other imPorts. Talking about making a--a paradise, or..."
The boy furrows his brow as he tries to remember the words. It's just a jumble of angry, wrong words to him.
" I was looking for a way to get away. Without having him come after us. And he told me to give him Dog."
