She'd be surprised about a lot of things. The fact that her concerns, even if not her actions, are fairly in line with what could constitute as normalcy. The thing about Adam is that he goes beyond those rules, from smaller things to catastrophically bigger things. But, right now, they're just a little boy and an adult woman in a weird bookshop in a weirder town in an even weirder world, looking at comics.

He picks up his smaller pile of books and follows her, happy to add to his collection. "I got the first and the third volume, but I can't find the second one. Kind of makes it annoying to read."
